It was worth go thru. Must be nice to like wine so you start your own vineyard and make your own wine. The tour guid was very good and the best part is the wine tasting at the end.

It's hard to imagine visiting the Biltmore Estate without also including a visit to the winery. The wine tasting experience was a fun part of the visit. Our visit occurred on the day after Christmas, so the line was fairly long; however, the staff was very good at moving people along. Having the chance to sample as many of the Biltmore wines made the wait worthwhile. The young lady behind the bar was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, too.

Upscale gift shop for foodie/wine types. Tasting room host was very nice. Wines were drinkable, but honestly nothing that knocked my socks off. There is a tasting room in the gift shop with premium wine tasting for an extra fee. We did not partake in that, maybe next time.

Tried the different types of wine and explained about the different types, etc. The shop is really nice too. We would visit here again.

My friend and I visited Biltmore for the Candlelight Tour of the house, but had the opportunity to visit the winery. The winery was very crowded, but the staff knew how to handle a crowd. We waited only a few minutes to get a spot at one of the tasting bars. There were so many options to choose from, but our server Roxy knew where to lead us. Her recommendation was well received and we enjoyed all the wines. The crowd died down while we were in the tasting room and there was plenty of room at the premium tasting bar to try some more. This is where we had the opportunity to try the champagnes and special reserves. Ashley was very knowledgable about all the wines & answered all of our questions. Three tastings were $8, which was equal to about a glass and a half of wine. We also ordered the cheese plate for $12 and it was very good. Just the right size and very tasty. We left with 12 bottles of wine, which included a 15% discount. Perfect holiday gifts! The next day we returned to the winery to pick up a few more things from the gift shops and another bottle of wine. The 15% discount was honored again by Ashley as well.
