Cecelia is from Argentina and brings her excellent homemade recipes to Asheville's "Cecilia's Kitchen." The empanadas are the real deal. Perfect flaking crust with excellent filings. My favorites are the Carne de Vaca with ground beef, onions, olives, and hard boiled eggs and the Berenjena with eggplant, tomatoes, onions, and roasted red peppers, but there 4 others for various tastes. I was never a fan of tamales, but clearly I had never had a really good one until eating at Cecilia's. The service is warm, friendly and responsive and Cecilia has always come by to chat when I was there. The setting is laid back, but the quality of the food is not. An excellent eatery in a city of excellent eateries. Oh and I forgot to say, VERY affordable especially for the quality.
