Description: The newest venture from Hector Diaz, Bomba is a small bites, quick service cafe and bar with a European feel. Serving espresso drinks from 1000 Faces, full bar with an extensive liquor list and finely crafted cocktails along with craft beers and wonderful half bottles of wine. Our small plates are a great way to experience the amazing flavors Hector is known for creating at a reasonable price.

You must stop and have the Ginger mule mojito. This is not the official name but you will recognize on the menu. In a town of great cocktails and small plates, this one has the best signature cocktail and prime Asheville watching location. VERY friendly staff.

Salsa is perhaps my favorite restaurant in Asheville. But Bomba is a real disappointment so far. We got the signature "Italian doughnuts" and they were terrible. Truly terrible. The coffee was great though. For breakfast, try Hector's other restaurant, Modesto ... or Boca which is about three blocks away. Both have great breakfasts. But definitely go to Salsa for lunch or dinner. It's incredible!

Localfoodluvr,

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that our Bombaloni's were not up to your standard. We are thankful to have our customers feedback so that we can continue to make improvements and grow in a positive direction in these beginning stages of us being open. We are excited to have 1000 Faces as our coffee distributor and to be one of the few places in Asheville to serve their espresso drinks. To be clear as well, Modesto does not serve breakfast, although ironically they just started a brunch yesterday, but our sister restaurant Chorizo does! And their breakfast is great! I hope you give us at Bomba another chance in the breakfast area as Hector is trying different recipes all the time for our pastries to see what our customers really like and want.

Best to you,

We discovered this place on our last trip to Asheville. We were very early for our dinner reservation so we were looking for a place to have a cocktail. We almost walked past this place. It used to be a cupcake shop and now it's this neat little bar. Very similar to some of the coffee shops we went to in Italy. There are no seats or stools so you stand right at the bar and order your food or beverage. We stopped here at night so we ordered some very tasty and very reasonably priced tapas (appetizers) and a few glasses of wine and beer. The idea is to come here, spend 15-20 minutes and then go about the rest of your day/evening. We would definitely come back for coffee or more tapas on our next stop here.
