Owner description: Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS) is the premier exploratory science experience in downtown Asheville. With fully interactive exhibits, street level access, and a variety of educational programs, AMOS is a must visit for the whole family! AMOS is currently in our Soft Opening phase, as we continue to complete the rest of our exhibits. All admission prices are half off as we look towards our Grand Opening in the summer of 2017.

Our 1 year old loved the climbing structure and the toddler nest. It is a very small museum but he enjoyed running around inside.

Great place if you have very small children. We have 14 and 12 yo girls. We were done walking through in 20 minutes. They have some work to do to add exhibits to make the visit worthwhile for parents and older children.

Small place and fantastic place for young children. My son was 9 and we really enjoyed the extensive rock collection area. He also liked the planet technology area. He was too old for the crawling play area but the little kids there LOVED IT!!!!!! Small age children it is a must.

We decided to check out AMOS while in Asheville for the eclipse and were so glad we did! It is small, but priced well and a perfect place for kids to run around and have fun while learning. It was also a great way to let them have a break from shopping and the other attractions of Asheville. They loved the jungle-gym type apparatus and the area where they used the PVC pipes to design ways of using air pressure to shoot ping pong balls. There was enough to entertain the adults, as well, between the gems and such.

After being hidden in the basement of the Art Museum, the Science center has its own abode. It's small but wants to grow. The workers are pleasant and helpful. We saw a film and presentation about the then forthcoming eclipse. This museum needs financial fertilization to grow and prosper; nice exploration area for children
