Great beer flights, known for the Iron Rail IPA, lots of outdoor space. Peanuts and games. River Arts District. Boom baby.

The wheat beer was awful - the Oktoberfest was yummy according to my husband but this place was filthy and looked like a Post- Apocolyptic Junk Yard or 80s version of the Post- Apocalyptic future. I get there being a theme- but you can have one and be clean. I don't suggest this unless you like dogs tied up (not with their owners) and dirt yards with broke down trucks. It would have been ok had the beer been good but no....I was shocked at the number of people there with the miserable time we were having. Pass. There are a ton of other better breweries in Asheville.
Good beers, chill environment right on the river. We were there in summer before sunset and there was a wide mix for folks from hipsters to families to tourists.
My husband and I went to Asheville for a long weekend. Some friends had recommended the Wedge as a cool brewery to check out. It is a little hard to find...just park on the road where your GPS says to stop and look for some stairs down behind a building. We went at dusk, which was perfect as it wasn't too hot and we watched the sun set. The Wedge is mostly outdoor seating, with a hodge podge of furniture, some in dirt, some on a patio. There are cool string lights, corn hole, and a food truck. Its in a warehouse building right next to the train track, so we watched a train go by for 15 minutes. The clientele is very hip and artsy--a lot of locals. The beer menu is not huge and is pretty straight forward, but everything we tried was really good and reasonably priced. Very pet friendly, wish we had brought our dog! It would be a fun place with a big group of friends. It was a cool place to check out, with good beer and lots of local Asheville character. We'd go back!
The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and really took the time to help us peg what we were in the mood for and explained their brews to the T! We'll definitely be back here. Very chill and food trucks helped us stay maybe a little too long.
