WOW, this place is amazing to visit. So many talented folks displaying their works. The building and grounds were nice to walk round. I like made in America. Take time to visit this art center you won't be disappointed.

“Appalachian mountain crafts at their finest”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

Upstairs galleries feature a permanent collection of Appalachian crafts, plus changing exhibits. Downstairs usually has one or two craft demonstrations by local guild artists, plus a gift shop, and a Blue Ridge Parkway store/information center. Very convenient from downtown Asheville, and right off the Blue Ridge Parkway if you're driving through.

“Folk Art Fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2013

I visited the Folk Art Center during a recent visit to Asheville, North Carolina. I was surprised at how large it was...there was so much beautiful art on display. The was also a wonderful shop with a huge selection of artwork for sale. Definitely do miss this top...it is well worth your time!

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013

Crafts of all sorts - mostly made from the 50's to date. Much for sale at really good prices for the quality of the products - well organized and beautiful. If you're on the Blue Ridge Parkway or anywhere near Asheville, stop in.

“Great spot to view local craft”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

Do not miss this spot. It is on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville. Locally made craft products are available for purchase or just to look at. If you decide to buy, bring a big wallet.
