Excellent little idie-film theater in downtown Asheville. Lunch or dinner across the street at Doc Chey's Noodle Shop and a movie at Fine Arts is a perfect outing!

Off season, limited exhibit options, but plenty of items for sale. The handcrafted items are wonderful, but unfortunately far overpriced. We certainly appreciate the efforts that go into creating these items, however, many items simply were outrageously priced ($95 for a tin sign 33" high x 8 1/2 wide? $196 for a SMALL hand woven basket?)

All in all, we enjoyed wandering thru and seeing some local artwork but would rather buy directly from the artists in the RAD.

This is a very nice gallery and visitor's center. I'm told its often crowded inside but it wasn't the day we visited. Almost all the work is by local artists and they have some great pieces created before Appalachia started to get homogenized.

This has a great selection of crafts in their shop, as well as craft exhibits upstairs that change several times a year..
