“Nice brush with art for 45 minutes or so. Great shopping”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

Went recently with my two lively kids, ages 6 & 8. They enjoyed the exhibits a lot, and there is just enough to keep them interested for about an hour. There's lots to see in the gift shop, but lots is breakable. There's a small NPS gift shop on site, too, which has some fun stuff to see, and the whole thing is on the Blue Ridge Parkway and couldn't be situated in a more lovely setting.

“Nice selection of local crafts”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

This center is off the Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP) outside Asheville, NC (milepost 382) and shares a large contemporary building with the National Park Service. North Carolina potters, quilters, weavers, jewelers, and painters share the retail space. The selection of goods was nice, if fairly typical. Nothing junky like at a craft fair. Good signage on the BRP takes you to the right exit, and parking is plentiful.

“More art in one afternoon than anywhere I had been”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

I LOVED this place. The parking is great, the building is interesting, bright, clean and FULL of displays and art. Every time I have gone it is busy, but there is plenty of room to get around and view the spectacular items. When in Asheville, this is a must see attraction.

“Great place!!”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

This place has arts and crafts for sale. There is a ranger on duty to answer questions on where to hike etc. They also have great weekend events which we go to often.
