Owner description: Experience Asheville's historic arts and crafts destination. Located adjacent to The Omni Grove Park Inn, this site once housed the weaving and woodworking operations of Biltmore Industries, an Arts and Crafts enterprise founded by Edith Vanderbilt and two inspired teachers, Eleanor Vance and Charlotte Yale. Today, the 11-acre property - listed on the National Register of Historic Places - is home to Grovewood Gallery, working artist studios, Golden Fleece restaurant, the Biltmore Industries Homespun Museum, and Asheville's only antique car museum. PLEASE NOTE: Our 2 museums are closed during the winter months of January - March. Grovewood Gallery and Golden Fleece restaurant are open year-round. Grovewood Village has no admission fees, and free parking is available on-site.

Find a taste of the western NC mountains and sophistication of big city shopping all in one place! Great location in downtown Asheville has everything you could want in one location!

Anyone seeking special and distinctive crafts will find a large variety at the Grovewood Gallery. It is a most impressive gallery showcasing traditional and contemporary crafts. Representing more than 500 American artists and craftspeople, the Gallery has an array of jewelry, glass works, pottery, amazing woodwork and more. We recommend allowing time to visit this magnificent Gallery. So much to see! A very special place to shop in the Asheville area for unique art and crafts. Located adjacent to the Grove Park Inn there is also a Café, Homespun Museum, Car Museum, and fun outdoor Sculpture Garden.

We stopped in while we were visiting the Grove Park Inn. The shop was much bigger on the inside then we had expected. They had some really neat art work in there. I enjoyed walking around and looking at everything. Worth a stop to look.

Wonderful shops and restaurant on or close to Grove Park Inn. We spent all day here during our 4 day Grove Park Inn stay in Sept. 2014. Lovely, lovely art and gifts

We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary at the Grove Park Inn, The Grovewood Gallery is located conveniently at the foot of the resort, we took the elevator down to the parking deck, walked across the street a 100 yards and we were there. Very convenient, also the Inn does also offer shuttle service from the main lobby. We wanted a memento of our stay and the gallery had choices from jewelry to furniture. None of the items were low quality, which we found plenty of in downtown Asheville geared to mass produced/ imported tourist junk. Although the Gallery had some pricey items, we were fortunate to buy some things that fit our budget and we still got well made quality items.
