“Amazing works of art in a relaxed atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

Our innkeeper told us this was a must see and she was so right!! Some of the most beautiful art and woodwork I have ever seen. Make sure to go to the second floor and see all the beautiful furniture, rugs, accent pieces, etc. The staff was friendly, helpful and educated about the art in the gallery. Will return on my next visit to Asheville.

“Top of the Line Crafts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2013

We really enjoyed walking through the Grovewood Gallery. It's almost like a fine art gallery. All locally made and the variety is amazing. The staff is very friendly and knows their stuff. A must see if you have 30 minutes to peruse.

“Lovely Craftsmanship”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

This place must be a favorite with tourists and locals alike, for lovely and unusual gifts and items for your home.. Which, as I understand it are all made by somewhat local craftsmen. A nice selection of jewelry, hand blown glass, woodworking, pottery. My friend later wished she had bought one of the musical instruments, a sort of lap harp. It made lovely sounds, and there were also sheets of paper you could put under the strings, teaching you to play a dozen or more tunes..

“Great craftsmanship & talent on GPI grounds.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

We spent a couple of days @ GPI with another couple recently and loved being able to walk to this incredible treasure of regional arts and crafts. It's such a pleasant stroll, the outdoor spaces along the way are natural art in themselves. Well worth the time to view the work of such talented folks.

“Local Artisans Displayed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013

This delightful gallery is tucked away on the grounds of The Grove Park Inn. There are outdoor sculptures that add to the ambiance. Beautiful wind sculptures that spin at the slightest hint of wind. Inside this original building is an array of displays by local artists. There's everything from unique furniture and jewelry to glassblown items and wool hats. I believe it closes at either 5 or 6PM. It's a wonderful place to browse, and possibly purchase a special little something for yourself or as a gift! Plan to linger alitlle longer by enjoying a nice lunch or dinner next door at The Grovewood Cafe. Check out their reviews!!
