Owner description: Experience Asheville's historic arts and crafts destination. Located adjacent to The Omni Grove Park Inn, this site once housed the weaving and woodworking operations of Biltmore Industries, an Arts and Crafts enterprise founded by Edith Vanderbilt and two inspired teachers, Eleanor Vance and Charlotte Yale. Today, the 11-acre property - listed on the National Register of Historic Places - is home to Grovewood Gallery, working artist studios, Golden Fleece restaurant, the Biltmore Industries Homespun Museum, and Asheville's only antique car museum. PLEASE NOTE: Our 2 museums are closed during the winter months of January - March. Grovewood Gallery and Golden Fleece restaurant are open year-round. Grovewood Village has no admission fees, and free parking is available on-site.

The art galleries bring to mind that creativity and individualism is alive and well - presented through beautiful woodworking, furniture, jewelry, and metal working. The vintage car museum brought back great memories from the 1950s. Pay attention to the rafters for advise on living - real pearls of wisdom.

The car museum is sweet and Grovewood gallery has a decent overview of local crafts. A good place to pick out various family Xmas presents.

If you are in the Asheville NC area you really need to go to the Grovewood Gallery. It features superb wood furniture built by hand by true craftsmen. There is no admission fee, and they do allow photos. Just to see the imagination and craftsmanship is a treat. If the wind is blowing the wind sculptures outside are enchanting.

Being a car buy, I cannot pass up on anything "Car" related. So for all your motor-heads out there, stop by and check some of these out.

The gallery has the highest quality local crafts. I love the wind powered sculptures outside. Good collection of restored early model cars.
