Excellent hotel, well worth price. Hotel is Ritz Carlton quality. Nothing negative to say. Staff go out of their way to help you, rooms very well appointed, excellent restaurants, magnificent views. My son recently married on grounds Biltmore estate and more than 100 family and friends stayed there, did not hear a negative comment from anybody

The inn is located on the estate property, about 2 miles from the Estate and Gardens. The Estate and Gardens are easily accessible via shuttle or your own car. Staying at the inn allows you flexible and extensive access to all the sites on the grounds, which would not be the case otherwise.
The service is warm, friendly and very efficient. I was very impressed at the speed of the valet parking service, which is a bit slow at virtually all other venues.
The decor is quiet southern elegance. The rooms are beautifully appointed and offer excellent comfort from the climate control to the beds. The dining room offers haute cuisine in an elegant atmosphere that is well worth a visit.
We wish we had stayed longer and will definitely visit again when in the area.

We've heard about the Inn for years and were very excited to find ourselves in the area and able to stay at the Inn. We were very disappointed with our stay. For the prices being charged, this hotel doesn't come close to being a luxury hotel. Our king deluxe room was very nice but not worth $600/night. It was a basic Hilton type of room with slightly nicer amenities. The furniture is dated, the carpet is showing wear, and the bathroom is very basic. It's a cookie cutter room at an extravagant price.

My suggestion is that you stay elsewhere and visit the Inn for a drink on the back patio. For less than $20, you will get the same view for which we paid $600. Don't believe the reviews that compare this hotel to a Ritz Carlton. It's ok but not great.

Breath taking views and first class service, makes this a great compliment to the entire Biltmore experience. Food service was good, very professional staff. Beautiful property in every way. Expensive but fabulous

Inn on Biltmore is a very good hotel, but there are some shortcomings.

First of all, an obvious red flag is that Biltmore does not respond to posts on TripAdvisor. This almost makes me want to avoid this place in the future.

"Deluxe" rooms are very small. Bathrooms are small. My leg was jammed against the toilet paper roll whilst sitting on the throne.

Beds are very uncomfortable. In this day of great hotel mattresses, you'd think they could do better.

We had a guest in a wheelchair on our stay and one of the valet boys didn't even bother to open the door to the hotel. Even if it wasn't his official job to open a door, shouldn't any person with any decency do this as a courtesy? Come on!

Then we were told we couldn't use a cart to bring bags to our room, that we had to have bellmen do it. Later, we saw people using the carts without help from bellmen.

On the other hand, rooms -- although small -- are luxurious. Bathrooms have lots of amenities. Robes and slippers are provided. Strange to see an armoire used these days, but they slide a flat screen TV into their armoires. It works. But these days most hotels put TVs on chests. Good coffee in rooms. Water. Even wine for purchase.

Service at the hotel is world class, not counting the above exceptions. Concierge, hotel operators, front desk people all first class.

Very nice coffee service in the lobby in the morning. Free. Also, free internet!

You feel like a guest of the Vanderbilts when staying here. Decorative pillows in the rooms have the letter V on them.

It is a great hotel. But not world class.

We just completed a three day stay at the Inn while we visited the estate. The Inn truly mirrors the Vanderbilt estate in every way. The architecture, while modern, echoes materials used in the big house, and all staff, both at the Inn and at the house, were to the man gracious and most welcoming. We felt that it wasn't just lip service, but that everyone actually enjoyed their jobs. Our room was spotless, the amenities thoughtful, and the live red rosé in the bathroom a pleasant touch. Food uniformly excellent. Oriental rug in the elevator...sweet smelling hallways and rooms, wonderful shuttle service to all points on the estate. And of course the view was tremendous! We recommend sitting on the library veranda with a glass of wine before dinner, or enjoy a light meal right there--the view is wonderful. We will definitely be back!
