The inn on biltmore cannot adequately be described in a simple review. This place is quiet, secluded, relaxing and luxurious. It is by far one of the finest hotels in America. If you want to feel like royalty, check out the inn on biltmore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We spent two nights at the inn and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our reservation included breakfast and we thought the breakfast package was definitely worth the cost because it was consistently well prepared, fresh, and never ran out of items. Due to our schedule, we did try to get to the dining room by 9 each day and experienced no wait for a table. The service staff was very attentive and friendly. The valet service was very good with little or no wait. The shuttle to the Biltmore House, Antler Village, the Winery was a wonderful service especially since it was hot and humid during our stay The a/c was in top working condition and worked perfectly.each day. On the negative side, our room did have a slight musty odor and the hallways did as well. The concierge were hit and miss . The gift shop had limited items for children. And the boutique was disappointing in the selection of items and less upscale than you would expect.
But you don't go to the Biltmore Inn to shop, but for the ambiance, the outstanding setting, and the amazing views. We took advantage of this both nights and were even able to see several clouds in the far distance over the mountains where it was raining...a wondrous sight from our room.

We came to this area strictly as tourists; we had never been, had just heard good things. I booked a Bed and Breakfast package at the Inn (upgraded to mountain view room after reading reviews), and we enjoyed every minute of our stay at this fabulous property! I had no idea that it would be so deluxe; it is among the nicest places I've stayed in the US. The service was impeccable, our room was beautiful and peaceful, our view was unbeatable, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was, in general, ideal! I loved this vacation and can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a mountain view room, and get a package that includes tickets to the estate!

Business took me to Asheville recently, and - truth be told - I did not elect to stay at the host hotel. Instead, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn of Biltmore Estate. Not only did we enjoy an incredible view from our 5th floor window, but our room was wonderfully appointed, the bed exceedingly comfortable, and the bath fitted with separate shower and jacuzzi. Other perks included robes, slippers, coffee, tea, and - YES - complementary water!! WooHoo!!
Our package included a tour of the famous Biltmore House and gardens, as well as the winery. All in all, our expectations were exceeded by the marvelous staff and grounds. This is very definitely a trip we'll do again.... :)

Room Tip: Ask for a "mountain view" room that is midway between the ice machine and the elevator. Y...

We recently stayed at the Inn and there were parts that we loved and there were parts that we were disappointed in.
Rooms: We upgraded from the basic room. However, the room was still cozy. The bathroom was very large. The room was clean and well decorated. The house keeping staff was excellent. The walls are thin, so you can hear sounds from the adjoining rooms.
Food: We had the included breakfast every morning, and drinks at the Bar. The food was good, very elaborate, fresh and there was never anything on the buffet empty. The chefs cooked fresh eggs to order. Although the food was good, there was nothing spectacular or special. It felt like a large resort.
Ambiance: The ambiance and setting for the hotel are fantastic. The view wonderful, especially in the evenings with a drink on the veranda. The hotel lobby and grounds were well kept, it made you feel like you were somewhere special.
Service: Here is where we were most disappointed, we felt that none of the employees, always nice, but never were able to make any decisions. Here are a few reasons why: we went down to get coffee back in the morning and we asked for a cup of cold chocolate milk for our daughter, after all we had the breakfast package, the waiter could not deliver, he had to get the manager with whom we had the conversation again to get a glass of milk. All three days! I asked how much a taxi cost to go downtown Ashevills, no one knew, not the check in lady, not here manager, not the concierge. They finally asked me to wait so they could call a cab company. 10 minutes later I was still waiting. After two days, I asked the concierge for restaurant recommendations in Asheville, 3 of them had none, all the restaurants off property were just OK. Really!!
In conclusion, we were glad to stay here for the three days, focused mainly on the Estate and the property. If you want to do other activities this may not be the best property for you. We left feeling like we had stayed in a large commercial hotel, not an exclusive lodge.

NOTE: They say they have a shuttle service, but it is only for the property. It does not leave their grounds. Also it runs in ONE direction only with an approximate 30 minute circuit time. be prepared if you want to got to the last destination on the stop.

My husband and I visited Inn on Biltmore in early May 2012, so this review is late in coming! We are headed back in May 2014! We had a room with a small balcony and view of Antler Village below and the mountains in the distance. The view was gorgeous! We had breakfast each morning at the buffet and dinner in the main restaurant one evening and everything was tasty! We toured the estate, and the grounds are beautiful! We love gardens, so we were in Heaven! We did the off-road Segway tour of the estate too, and had a blast. The tour provides nice views of the house and pond below. The hubby wants a Segway now! Everyone we encountered was so nice and helpful, and the service was outstanding. We cannot wait to return!

Room Tip: Get the balcony with a view of the mountains. It isn't cheap, but is well worth it!

First our observations -

*beautiful, welcoming hotel
*exceptional service/attitude of staff; truly outstanding; some of the nicest people in the hotel industry that we have come across; it really did add to our overall experience
*delicious food in the Inn's dining room - both breakfast and dinner; we are still talking about the delicious dinner; CALL AHEAD for reservations and ASK FOR A WINDOW TABLE (we wish we had done that)
*order the audio tour in advance and have your tickets waiting for you at the Inn
*ask for Jen for a massage at the Spa - she's fantastic!
*there are shuttles available around the property, but we were VERY glad we had our own car so that we could go on our own schedule
*we enjoyed the walk down through the gardens to the bass pond, and then the walk back via the woodland trail (through the woods)

Now the ways to save $$ -
*don't valet park - the parking lot is a few steps away
*do the European plan
*don't upgrade to a room with a view - we did upgrade, but our room was so small that we really didn't stay in there much, and it was cloudy so the "view" wasn't much
*don't eat at Cedric's - nice atmosphere, very disappointing food. not much taste
