“Great Girls Getaway”

My sister and I spent a few days at the Inn and Estate. We had the Bed and Breakfast package that included entrance to the estate, shuttle servie, valet parking as well as breakfast buffet or menu selections. We declined to pay the extra $50/nite to upgrade the view and we were glad. The view from our room was beautiful, facing the mountains and Antler village. Our double room was spacious and spotless. The robes and slippers were a nice touch. We chose the breakfast buffet as it had a wide selection including fresh made waffles and omelets. We enjoyed lunch and High Tea in the library, dinner at The Bistro and a light dinner at Cedrics ( when we just couldn't handle another big meal!). Food was consistently good as was the service. Customer service is stressed here and we were treated very well by everyone we met. The shuttle service with the drives acting as tour guides was very handy and made seeing this huge property much easier. The winery tour and wine tasting was fun and we quickly found our favorites. Our only disappointment was that the weather was colder than usual so most of the floweres were not in bloom.

Room Tip: Ask where your room will face before deciding on an upgrade. There are fabulous views available with...

Set in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Caroline and on Biltmore Estates near
Ashville, the hotel offers luxurious accommodations equaled only by the magnificent views of the Blue Ridge mountains that surround it. The on-sight restaurant is superb, the BILTMORE house is just a complimentary shuttle ride away and the winery is just at the foot of the hill below.

Room Tip: Book tickets to the BILTMORE house along with the room and save. Be certain to walk the paved path...

Visiting Biltmore Estate was an amazing experience. The Inn on Biltmore Estate has service on par with the finest hotels. The rooms and views were amazing, and the restaurants and winery were superb.

Seeing the size of Biltmore Estate was impressive and the gardens, while not in season when I visiting look amazing. I am very excited to go back to visit again in both Summer and Winter. This is a great place to visit for families or couples.

The Inn at Biltmore is very nice. It is not my favorite place in Asheville because you are, as a practical matter, trapped at the Biltmore. Also, since the Biltmore has a winery the wine selections are very limited. However, the Inn is really nice. We wanted to visit the Festival of Flowers so we stayed at the Inn because with the room rate and no admission you can go everywhere but in the house (which is very interesting the first few times).

The Biltmore has a variety of other activities which are also fun. The Land Rover driving school is really great, especially for car enthusiasts. The Segway tour is also very good, but harder than it appears. If you do that activity be sure to wear proper footwear.

Request a room that does not overlook the entrance driveway they are much quieter and have a beautiful view. Also, the Terrace rooms are on the ground floor, and have views which include parts of the parking lot through the trees. I do not recommend those rooms.

We had a great view. The rooms are incredibly quiet and the beds are really comfortable.

We ate at the Bistro, my favorite restaurant, it did not disappoint and at Cedric's Tavern, also very good.

We went to the Biltmore for our 25th wedding anniversary and could not have gone to a better place. The room was deluxe and overlooked the Biltmore Mansion. Bedding was so comfortable. The Bathroom was spotlessly clean and roomy. We ate our meals in the Inn and had fabulous food every night. All of the staff from when we entered the grounds to the last person we spoke to when he brought us our car was polite, helpful and made it like a Disney trip for adults. The Mansion made it feel like we were in France with English speaking people. The meals were prepared to our request and the food was both plentiful and very tasty.
Of course we loved the grounds and never had problems with their bus service and made a trip to the vineyard and purchased lots of "good memories" wine to bring home.

Room Tip: The fourth floor view of the grounds was incredible.

Beautiful inn on the Biltmore estate. Very clean and well maintained. Nice turn down service. Excellent staff, very friendly. Easier access to the house (immediate entry). Would stay here again without question.

We had a special package - The Spring Celebration Package. It included the room, entrance to the house at all times during the stay with the audio tour, the Legacy of the Land Tour( bus trip around the estate - very interesting) and the breakfast buffet. We were given a book about the history of the Biltmore Estate and a gift from the garden shop. The cost was quite expensive but it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience. We were looked after from the moment we arrived with the valet parking and the friendly doorman.
We had a Grand King room with a view over the Antler Hill Village & the mountains beyond. Beautiful sunsets each night. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed extremely comfortable. We had a large bathroom with a spa tub and a separate shower. The hotel is lovely and there are many places to sit to enjoy the view - from rocking chairs on the terrace by the bar -if it's warm enough - sofas and armchairs in the library & lobby area if you need to be inside. Outside there are terraces with many chairs - it was all extremely comfortable. There is an outdoor swimming pool but it was closed when we were there. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent. We ate in the bar and we had the buffet breakfast. Both were delicious. We had afternoon tea in the library - it was lovely and very relaxing. We didn't try the spa or the restaurant. We ate a hearty breakfast and then with tea and wine tastings we didn't need to eat dinner too! We did order food from room service- excellent. We would have liked to see more choice for vegetarians but what we had was good quality.
We used the shuttle to go to and from the mansion. It was very convenient dropping off right at the door. One of the best things we did was to walk from the mansion back to the hotel. It was about a 4 mile walk but very easy. It was downhill through the deer park to the lagoon. The views were lovely and it was really quiet - most people choosing to drive. There's a flat walk along the French Broad river back to Antler Hill Village. If the walk up hill to the Inn is too much you can pick up the shuttle to take you back outside the winery. The footpath winds up the hill to the inn with seats at intervals if you need them. The walk from the mansion to the inn is on grass, gravel and paved surfaces - you don't need walking shoes - just comfortable ones.
We sampled two wine tastings. We tried the wine and chocolate - interesting information and tasty chocolates. You have to pay extra for this and you get the premium wines. We also tried the premium wine tasting - sitting out on the terrace outside the winery. You can taste for free if you want but those are the cheaper wines.
We took one special tour of the mansion - The Architect's tour. You have to pay more for this but you get to go out on the roof - very cool.
Unfortunately we were too early for the tulips - but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and there was enough to do on the estate we didn't even venture out into Asheville. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't see it again until we left. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay - we will definitely be back for more.

Room Tip: Our room was on floor 7 at the end of the corridor it was quiet. The views were better for rooms loo...
