What a wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon after hiking through the Biltmore grounds and gardens. The staff, Jason in particular, were so attentive and knowledgable. The high tea was well done and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to relax and be carried away for an hour or two.

Every aspect of the stay was lovely. Service is crisp and friendly. Food was amazing. Rooms quiet and peaceful. Grounds are meant to be walked. Stop by the library for a drink by the fire. The trail rides are beautiful. First class all around

Room Tip: get a room with a balcony, it's perfect a perfect view of the estate.

We stayed at the Inn for two nights over a weekend for our anniversary at the end of January. The pros out weigh the cons for staying for a short stay. The inn itself is expensive. We payed upwards of $300+ a night for the room. We opted for the bed and breakfast package, and the morning breakfast is GREAT! It's buffet or menu and you can get whatever you'd like and the food is fantastic. Full hot breakfast and cold items in an upscale fashion with selection and views. You may have to wait upwards of 10-15 minutes to be seated if you go at the busy times. The best thing we did at the Inn was to make a reservation for and attend afternoon Tea. If you are adults only, this is a Must do. It can take an hour or two, and it is pure bliss. You will get amazing teas, amazing service, all sorts of home made food items (enough for a lunch...we even took some to go) and the option for champagne and drinks included. It runs between 20 and 40 dollars per person and is by reservation only. The main plus to staying on the estate vs. off is that you get VIP access to the mansion tour. You get a shuttle from the Inn, and when you arrive at the mansion, you skip the entire line which can be minutes to hours long. You get a headset free for the audio tour and you visit the mansion and grounds for free. It's a treat to see and can take 2.5+ hours depending on your pace/interest. We toured the home and took some nice strolls along the walking paths and were done in about 3 hours. After, the shuttle took us to the winery where they have free tastings and we walked back to the Inn from there. As for the Inn itself...beautiful, but the rooms are not very big and we had bugs in our rooms. We called about the bugs and were told 'it's seasonal' and they come in through the patio. Not the answer we were looking for, but we dealt with the beetles and such. We would recommend to stay at the in for your first Biltmore viist, if only for 1 or 2 days for the benefit of the tour status.

We greatly enjoyed our two night stay at the Inn. The dining and the tours were wonderful, but the staff at the Inn made this wonderful stay. I would go back in a minute.

I am a seasonal passholder at the biltmore estate and during the winter months they give you offers for reduced prices for various things. This year they had a special deal for 129 bucks to stay at the inn during the week. Normally its 300+ during high season. So I called a friend and asked if she wanted to split the room with me and hang out. We stayed on a Monday night. We spent the day visiting the estate, did a free wine tasting, and had dinner downstairs in the inn. We sat outside and watched the sunset over the mountains. It was a great escape from daily life. The inn is beautiful, the staff very helpful and courteous. Beautiful setting. The food was excellent and presented beautifully and very accomodating to my gluten intolerance. We decided we would do this again but for 2 nights instead! We met many people that night that have been doing the same thing for a few years! Oh and when we checked in we were given an upgrade. Our room had a door that opened up to the lawn outside on the lower level. Had a nice stone patio. My friend from another city just loved it!

Fantastic. Phenomenal. A very nice high-end hotel. For us, comparable to the Fairmonts, Colo. Springs Broadmore, Spokane's Davenport, Victoria, BC's The Empress. As opposed to another review, we did not experience "staff being pompous" at all -- they were very, very sincere, very accomodating. We did a bed/breakfast package where we got entrance to the Estate house every day we were there, shuttle service, audio-tour included, very nice king suite room, breakfast included, great soft-cover book on the house. This place is very quiet, calm, peaceful. Couldn't have been better -- well, it would have been nice if there were fewer visitors during our visit -- gotta' be picky about something. The Inn is expensive, but you definitely get your money's worth.

We stayed 2 nights over the weekend march10-12. We purchased the bed and breakfast package which included unlimited entrance to the estate, chef breakfast each morning and valet parking. A very good deal. The checkin was quick, we were able to get an earlier dinner time immediatley. Everyone was very attentive and pampering was their goal. Our bed was very comfortable, room perfectly clean and smelled fresh. Housekeeping comes twice daily, in the evening for turn down service. Our room was. Abit slow to cool down the first night so we didnt sleep well. The next morning we turned it all the way down and that seemed to work. They filled our icebucket and we had free bottled water and chocolates on our pillows. Piano music very nice, great lounging area, games to be played, books to be read, conversation and freinds to meet. Loved it and will return again. You are a geust of the Vanderbilts and will be treated as such. Dont forget to tip these good people accordingly.

Room Tip: There all good. A package is more fun.
