My wife and I honeymooned at Hill House several years ago and recently returned for a weekend getaway. Impeccably appointed, pristinely clean, Hill House was as we romantically remembered - wonderful. Bill and Terry are friendly without smothering their guests. Bailey and Maisie, their canine companions, wagged their welcome. We chose the S&W room to enjoy a private breakfast. When the creme brulee french toast was delivered, we sighed, completely relaxed and rejuvenated, with extremely happy taste buds.

We stayed here for three nights and found everything to be ok. The rooms are quirky with bathrooms that could do with a bit of updating. The breakfasts are served at 9.00 am prompt with a small fruit salad followed by an omellete or a pancake. The owners are pleasant but choose not to interct much with the guests. The best thing is sitting on the large porch or the lounge and meeting other travellers. The complimentary cookies were appreciated.

We stayed 2 nights at Hill House earlier this summer. The inn was well kept and the breakfasts were sooo good! We ate out on the porch as the weather was just perfect. We stayed upstairs - a steep climb - and although our room was spacious, the bathroom area was a bit cramped. If we stay there again, we would request a downstairs room. Not our favorite B&B but wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Spent a long weekend in Asheville in early August. Always fun to make Hill House our "home away from home." The owners, Bill and Terri, were gracious as always. Had recos on the latest restaurants. Breakfast was great both mornings. Our room was lovely, quiet and comfortable. We'd go to Asheville again just to stay at Hill House!

Room Tip: Good description on-line of each room.

It was a lovely home & the grounds were so beautiful and quiet, It was perfect. From a quick inexpensive taxi to downtown to relaxing on the front porch with a glass of wine & a book. My girlfriend & I went for a girls get away and the room we choose was Battery Park. Great room for the 2 of us, felt like 2 rooms in 1. One afternoon we made a plate of Crackers & cheese & sat on the front porch with a bottle of wine, so relaxing.
The owners were so nice, you hardly knew anyone was around. They were so helpful & a phone call away if they were in their home on the property. The breakfast every morning was so wonderful. The people we met were so nice.

Room Tip: Easier to deal with a 5.00 taxi then trying to find parking downtown.

The Hill House B&B was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. We stayed in the Battery Park room and it was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed having a glass of wine in the afternoon and coming back for tea in the evening. The breakfast was delicious and coffee is ready, along with pastries, at 7am. Full breakfast was served promptly at 9am every morning. The rocking chairs on the front porch were most relaxing; the two dogs, Bailey and Mazie, made it feel like home. The Hill House was within walking distance from downtown (about a 15 minute walk). We had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to come back soon!

Room Tip: Battery Park room was very quiet, we never heard anyone walking up or down the stairs. Only downsid...
