Description: SkyBar: Asheville's Rooftop Bar and Skyline View. Discover Asheville: A Rare and Beautiful Place! rooftop bar Our skyline view Have you been to Asheville? Be sure that you make plans to visit us. Once here, you'll find yourself totally amazed at how wonderful this place is, with the mountains, beautiful downtown, and our unmistakable mountain vibe. Over the past few years, Asheville has become very well known for our culinary cool, our burgeoning beer scene and our thriving artistic community. On top of that, we have hundreds of miles of panoramic vistas, parkway drives, waterfalls waiting to be discovered, and an amazing downtown scene. Visit us and you'll see why all the locals think that Asheville is an unforgettable escape from the daily grind. During the summer, discover toe-tapping adventures along the new Blue Ridge Music Trail. Get yourself outside, explore our backyard, find outdoor adventures that will have you zipping across mountaintops or riding over river rapids. And, there's always the Blue Ridge Parkway! We all love to take leisurely drives along the Parkway to grab as much breathtaking beauty of mountains, vistas, waterfalls, rock-faces, and wonderful mountain air. Unique bar that was actually a fire escape of a very old building in Asheville. An elevator man takes you up to the 8th floor and you can choose to stay on the level or go down to 7th or 6th floors. A great view for a sunset. Busiest on Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Located in the back of the Flat Iron building, you are brought back in time by buzzing for the elevator and watching the hand Count its way down to the main floor. The elevator door opens and you are greeted by your "lift man" who takes you up to the Sky bar. There is a 2 drink minimum, and it's a bit of an interesting set up. 3 floors of outside balconies and a small indoor seating area. This place isn't set up to serve the masses, but it is perfect for soaking up some sun, big vistas and a few libations. Service is great and you are free to roam around. If they occupied an entire floor of the Flat Iron, I think this could be a great Restaurant/bar, but as it stands its just a great bar!

We were thrilled to get there at twilight time. Amazing view of mountains, clouds covering the red sun and miles view of the city from 100 feets above. Drinks were so reasonably priced, they don't charge separate for the view. Great value, it's a must.

There were 8 of us that went to the sky bar on a sat night. We ended up hanging out in a cute room with couches. We felt right at home. The service and drinks were amazing. The view is spectacular. Only bad thing was the balcony is kinda small but we managed just fine.

Great view of downtown Asheville as well as the Blue Ridge in the distance. Perfect for evenings when you want to enjoy a quieter night having a drink outside, since there is no noise from walk-by traffic. Easy to work with when bringing a group. More than one level to choose from when making reservations. Good service.

The staff here is friendly. It is an experience. First you go up an old operator run elevator in a historic buliding all the way to the top floor. You walk down the hall way into a room, the bar. order your drinks and they will bring them out to you on the balcony. Great place to watch the sunset over the moutains. Then you can enjoy the city lights. Very romantic!!
