I stayed here while relocating back from the west coast to Connecticut.

I stopped in Asheville to see the Biltmore Estate. I'd originally scheduled only a two night stay. However, both the hotel and the city were so comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable - I extended the stay an extra night. While doing so, I noted that another guest of this hotel was extending their stay, also.

This Baymont Inn is very affordable. Yet, it is in an ideal location to experience all that Asheville has to offer. The hotel room was immaculate. Breakfast was great. The staff was very helpful. Rich at the front desk was especially helpful with his dinner recommendations and directions.

Speaking of dinner, make sure you try out Rezaz restaurant in the historic Biltmore Village. It's a little more than moderately priced but well worth it!

While visiting Asheville in January, I stayed 3 nights at the Baymont. What a wonderful little hotel. Great rooms, well maintained, very friendly and helpful staff, every amenity you could imagine and even use of a washer and dryer if you need it. Hearty breakfast, high speed internet, and spacious room. If you're into jacuzzi's, ask for a king room. You get basically two bathrooms. One with a shower, toilet, etc. The other a separate jacuzzi room with ambient lighting and a large screen color tv with remote! Though this hotel is locacted on a busy street, it's very quiet. Never heard the traffic. Friday's is a two minute drive or a 5 minute walk. Biltmore is also very close. Maybe a 5 minute drive if that. And it's a 2 minute drive from route 40. If I ever come back to Asheville, this is where I'd stay.

My husband and I rented a room with a hottub for four nights. The room was great and the hot tub was in another little room with its own tv. It was very close to the Biltmore and we could have walked there if the road weren't so busy. The breakfast buffet was very bland tasting and I have never seen eggs that came in squares but other than that everything was just wonderful.

Baymont Inn is conveniently located close to 1-40, close to Biltmore Estate and an easy shot into the downtown area. Rooms are spacious and clean, with free internet (we're told WI-FI is coming!) As mentioned in other posts, the hotel staff are friendly and helpful, which in addition to the reasonable pricing and convenience make this is an excellent choice for someone interested in basic lodging in the Asheville/Biltmore area. Breakfast bar is fairly extensive: eggs, sausage, bisquits, waffles, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals, juice and hot drinks. Coffee and cookies are available in the lobby in the afternoon/evening.

Despite being on a major road (Hendersonville Rd), we found the hotel quiet.

We particularly enjoyed having the choice of a non-smoking room.

I've stayed at many hotels, but the service I received from Rich was outstanding. He was quick and considerate, but what happened next was beyond my expectations. I was returning from my car and Rich was on his break, even then, he asked me if he could do anything to make my stay more comfortable. The room was nice and clean, the elevator was prompt and breakfast was pleasant. Next time a stay at a hotel, Baymont will be the place I call.
I read the other reviews about Baymont being small, I visited the Grove Park Inn's Gingerbread House competition, I got lost in there. Too many guests, employees and security guards. I was so happy to be staying at a friendly place like Baymont.
And Asheville in the Fall is wonderful. My favorite time of the year.

We recently spent two nights at the Baymont Inn in Asheville, NC to visit the Biltmore Estate. I had read several reviews and concur that the location of this hotel couldn't be anymore convenient for visiting the Estate. The entrance to the Biltmore is less than 1/2 mile.

There were a few things that I would mention:

The Baymont is a value type inn. There is nothing fancy. It has small hallways and a very, very, very, small breakfast area. If you have noisy neighbors you may be in for a long night. Our room was extremely basic but very clean. The beds were a little uncomfortable.

The continental breakfast was rather nice with the exception of being extremely crowded. Many people were unable to even get in the room.

They do sell tickets to the Biltmore at the front desk which really was convenient.

For convenience and basics, I would definitely recommend it.
