My wife and I booked a stay here in conjunction with a concert on the Biltmore Estate. The concert was cancelled, so we called Baymont to cancel our reservation. The person we spoke with was very rude, and claimed that because the room was booked through Hotels.com, she could not refund our money. She also claimed that she could not reschedule our stay, even to just move it to the next night. She claimed that this was a Hotels.com policy, and not the Baymont's. We decided to make the 3+ hour drive to Asheville, rather than forfeit our money, to try to use the following day for sight-seeing. The front desk clerk that handled our check-in was courteous and professional, but required us to submit a credit card 'for incidentals'. The next morning, when we were checking out, a young lady was at the front desk. She sounded like the same rude person we had spoken with by phone. She refused to give us any type of statement/receipt to show that nothing was charged to our credit card, no receipt for the room, and again made the ridiculous claim that Baymont 'did not have any of our information' that would allow them to give us a receipt. So we ended up with no documentation of our stay, and no zero balance receipt for our credit card, although every other hotel we've stayed at previously has had employees that were competent enough to provide such statements. The hotel itself was clean, with decent amenities, and well maintained, but had too little parking (and the spaces are too small). It is also over-priced.
