I was a little underwhelmed by this hotel. It was clean but dated. Staff seemed disinterested - not rude but not engaged. Location is excellent. Downtown is right out the back door which was very nice! Glad we got the wedding rate as it would hurt to pay full price. To be honest I was expecting a little more but in the end it was clean and the location was perfect.

The people were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was beautiful. The rooms were average but there was a very nice pool area with hottub. I looked like a wonderful place for a wedding or other event

Thank you for complimenting our staff, we really believe that they make the hotel. We especially love taking care of families and groups as part of the larger events here at the Renaissance.

Our mountain view room on the twelfth floor was well designed and beautiful in its appointments. A slight tear in the lounge chair arm was the only maintenance issue. The bath while small is well designed and a closet mirror is close at hand making use of the bath area by a couple getting ready very easy. The bed was large, comfortable with very warm linens. Also, I do not often comment on hotel drapes but the shears with gold leaves as the foreground were beautiful when the sunlight hit them. We enjoyed the concierge lounge both for pre dinner cheese with our wine and for desert that evening. This morning the breakfast in the lounge was of good variety and the view of the mountains spectacular. Lobby areas are functional and the pool workout facility is large and well appointed. We will definitely be coming back as the hotel is located adjacent to great shopping and restaurants in the heart of the downtown.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor and a mountain view.

Thank you for your kind words regarding our rooms and concierge room offerings. The view from the 12th floor can be amazing for the mountains and downtown Asheville, each side of the building has a very unique feel to what the region offers. I am glad to hear that you put the Club Lounge to good use as it can definitely add something special to a getaway with the hors d'oeuvres and desserts offered there.

We came from California for a family wedding. We ended up staying 5 nights at this hotel. First off the location is perfect. We walked everywhere, never used our car except to drive to the Biltmore and the wedding itself. Every good restaurant is within walking distance. they have a nice outside patio, rather large in fact and the lobby offers many places to sit and congregate and talk. the desk staff were very accomodating and never seemed to be bugged by our requests. The only drawback is the size of the bathrooms. The room was a nice size with a pretty view of the city and mountains, but the bathroom was so tiny that it was difficult to maneuver between the tub and toilet. The breakfast buffet was good, and the restaurant itself is very nicely decorated. The men making the waffles were so nice and efficient! All in all a great place to stay for the wedding.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your wonderful stay. We always like to tell guests how you almost never have to drive after parking and it sounds like your stay is the perfect example of it. We are glad you have liked our updated lobby and that it your entire wedding group was able to put it to use. Please be sure to come see us should you ever be back in North Carolina!

Great location! You are just one block away from all of the art, stores, and night life. The breakfast is a thumbs up as well! Great for anytime you go to Asheville. The rooms are clean and comfortable!

This is a beautiful hotel set in the Blue Ridge & Great Smoky Mountains, it is decorated in a charming luxurious decor, it was a wonderful treat to my mom and I on our mother/daughter weekend! Our room was very comfortable, clean and spacious and we had a great view of Asheville! The staff were all friendly and most accomodating! Perfect walking distance to restaurants and night life! The pool was awesome and a treat to jump into after a day of lots of walking and shopping! My next stay in Asheville will definitely include staying at the Renaissance!

Room Tip: The higher up you get, the further you can see! It is a wonderful view from most any room!

Great location, but little value for the money. Rooms very small and wifi was spotty at best. Concierge services were friendly and incredibly helpful in directing us on our quest for local beer and food.
