Great Location in Asheville, NC. Updated & Swanky Lobby. Staff is very friendly & eager to make your stay great. Rooms are cozy with all your necessities but a bit small. The bed is very comfortable. In the evening, when we returned from dinner we had a delicious piece of chocolate on our bed (as long as we didn't have the privacy card on the door). I had 2 rooms, which one was on the backside of the elevator and you could hear the elevator go up, down & ding all night. Fitness Center is quite nice and spacious. The indoor pool was cold & the smell (of whatever they treat the water with) was very strong. Love that they are Pet Friendly. Could not find a channel directory.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Renaissance Asheville Hotel. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall. I apologize that you experienced an issue with the saltwater pool. The Renaissance Asheville is a gorgeous hotel in the perfect location. There were tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance, the rear of the hotel is right across the street from Pack Square Park. We had great views from our eighth floor room.

The hotel staff made the stay even better. We didn't encounter anyone over our stay that didn't smile and say hello. The housecleaning staff and the wait staff at the restaurant in particular were really friendly.

The rooms themselves are smaller, just like any major city. We had our two children with us and didn't feel cramped or crowded at all. Beds were comfortable with lots of great pillows. The only negative is that the shower/tub is impossibly tiny and outdated, it had a good shower head and water pressure though. The older tile + tub just didn't fit with the rest of the bathroom or room aesthetic at all.

We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

The room we stayed in was very nice. Requested a king bed & had to get 2 doubles instead. Beds were comfortable & room layout was good. The hotel is an older hotel so the bathroom was a little small.
The hotel is in a good location. It is in downtown Asheville. So you can walk to anything downtown.
Staff was friendly & helpful. I would stay at this hotel again!

We spent one night here on a family road trip. Our room was on the 11th floor and the kids were impressed with the floor to ceiling windows and fantastic view. Clean room. Lobby is cool and chic. Very easy downtown walking access. Free parking. Good breakfast at the club level if you get a package. Rooms are on the small side for a family, but if you only plan to sleep here, its a great option.

Room Tip: Top level rooms probably have the best views.

My husband & I usually stay at Marriott hotels but this one was just stinky. We got a club level room & the first thing that I noticed was that the bathroom barely had enough space to turn around in. When we called the desk we were told that this was the biggest bathroom they have...

We went to the club level bar that we paid a bit extra for. It smelled like a wet dog in there. I didn't want to sit in there let alone eat in there!

If all of that wasnt bad enough, I awoke the next morning to the sound of construction/renovation that sounded like it was in the room beside me. They need to tear up those mold infested carpets from 1986...

To sum it up, this trip that we were looking forward to turned out to be disappointing & stinky!

We will not be staying here again.

Thank you for taking the time in sharing with me your experiences during your stay at the Asheville Renaissance Hotel. From the nature of your comments, it appears we fell considerably short in our efforts to provide the first class experience you have come to expect from a hotel of our caliber. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to speak in person.
Sincerely, Terri
