“Nice change”

The owner and assisting guide were so friendly and more than accommodating in making sure everyone had fun. This tour is great for those that are able to walk hills and take stairs. They called in a rickshaw for my mother (who uses a cane) which was wonderful because she was having more difficulty than expected. The 2 stops with 2nd floors and the hilly streets were tough on her. I would recommend calling Eating Asheville before booking anyone with walking issues. They have awesome customer service and will work it out if at all possible!

As for the tour, we stopped at 6 restaurants. Not sure why the shorter time but we were back at our car before the 2.5 hour advertised tour. Make sure to eat a lite lunch before you go. As advertised the food items are samplings, not appetizer size. Wine samplings were served at 4 stops and were also sampling size. Being a non-drinker, I did miss out on that part but my mother enjoyed it. The food was very interesting with each restaurant choosing what they will serve. When the group arrived, tables were preset for quick service, a host would chat with us about the food, then we were off again. Each stop was about 10 minutes.. walking takes up most of the tour time. Its a great way to see downtown shops and restaurants to revisit.

This is a fun tour where you get a little history of the city, mixed with a brisk walk and a chance to do something different on your visit. I will recommend this to my friends so sure.

“High Rollers tour was amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2014

My husband and I went on the "high rollers" tour during our last trip to Asheville. We both agreed that it was the highlight of the trip. We loved being able to experience 7 different restaurants and we picked our favorite (Cucina 24) for dinner that night. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Asheville!

“High Rollers Tour was fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the High Rollers tour this past weekend. It was everything we expected and more. Stewart did a fantastic job guiding the tour.

This was our second Eating Asheville tour, but will not be our last. They just keep getting better and better.

“Moore, Moore, Moore!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014

A pleasant day was served at Eating Asheville, thanks to our tour guide, Cicily Moore. With her sweet, outgoing demeanor and her understanding of the restaurant/food industry, she was able to parlay an ordinary food tour into a delightful and appetizing experience. The tour started at the Battery Park Book Exchange, a real cool bookstore that serves coffee and wine. Can’t beat that! Sparkling wine was our “icebreaker” drink, along with a few tasty treats. From there, we went to Zumbra, The Gourmet Chip Company, Chestnut, a new restaurant (can’t remember the name), and finished at the French Broad Chocolate Lounge. While the portions of food served are relatively small, the flavors are huge; hence, quality is the key word. So don’t come with your biggest of appetites (or hungry), but do let the overall experience and the tour guide, Cicily Moore, satisfy your cravings.
