If you want to eat quickly before or after touring the estate, this place is a good choice. The food was pretty good for as quickly as it was served. The service was good. The rotisserie chicken was moist but not particularly flavorful.

After touring the mansion, we ate at Stable Cafe which was just a few steps away. Interesting atmosphere inside the remodeled stable building, which also contained a variety of shops, restrooms and other food choices. The menu is limited but will satisfy both children and adults. (Ask for a children's menu.) Prices are okay, a bit high. but the quality of the food and the restaurant's convenient location by the mansion make it an obvious choice. We were there off season before the less expensive snack shops were open, so there wasn't much choice unless we wanted to drive to Antler Village or off the estate. Service was very friendly and fast. We were impressed by the beautiful presentation of our food, and the attentiveness of our waiter, despite how busy the restaurant was. Our Carolina BBQ pork was excellent! Make your reservation online through the Biltmore web site. The restaurant overall was spotlessly clean, well lit, and despite the large size of the room, tables were far enough apart to give some privacy. Some tables are inside the horse stalls, which is fun. We would definitely eat here again.

Located just outside the front door of the Biltmore House, this is a great place to get your lunch on during a long day of walking and exploring the Mansion and Grounds of the Biltmore Estate. Operated within the walls of the former Estate stables, it is a unique venue with many elements of it's former incarnation still visible and adding visual interest to the dining room. Look around as you dine to see how many of the stable elements you can identify and marvel at the design and engineering of this useful space.

The food: really good! They have nice BBQ. Good ribs and pulled pork. Excellent slaw, tasty rotisserie chicken. The Bison Burger was huge, hand-pattied and delicious according to my companion who shared outstanding sweet potato fries with me. Desserts include Buttermilk Pie (YUM!), Peanut Butter Pie with a hunk of peanut brittle (YUM !) and others worth your time. Service was top-notch.

Take the time to rest your weary bones halfway through your mansion tour and enjoy the Stable Cafe.

I was not expecting much from an attraction restaurant that caters to tourists, but this place was wonderful! We stopped in for lunch and ordered a bison burger and bbq plate. All of the food was delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. There was a gluten-free menu available. We really enjoyed this meal!

When visiting The Biltmore, you're limited in where to go to eat. The atmosphere is fun as you are eating in the stable stalls. Staff are prompt. It was very busy during lunch hours. A hamburger that comes with fries cost $14! Yes, it was good and I know you're in a tourist location, but that just seems far too high.
