Stopped in here for a late lunch/early dinner. Staff was great, we sat at the bar and got to watch the kitchen staff prep for the dinner rush. We tried several cured meats and they were great. A little disappointed in the garlic and shrimp dish that was named the most popualr dish on the menu. Just tasted like shrimp sauted with garlic slices. Prices were fair for the amount of food we got.

Make a reservation well in advance of your Asheville visit to experience this fabulous tapas restaurant in the downtown. Very casual, trendy and delicious.

This is my second time in this restaurant. It s classy but not too much.
There s the open kitchen concept that is very cool, especially if you seat at the bar.
The menu has not changed since the last time I went there (almost 1 year ago) but I did not mind.
The have many choices from the appetizer to the dessert.
Portions are decent but being a tapas restaurant they are not huge so you would need to get different things to get full.
Actually, if you are looking to eat a lot this is not the place for you unless you are ready to spend a fortune.
This is a place where you can eat extremely well, for the love of food, not for the quantity of it.

We visited Curate on a Saturday night having made our reservation months in advance. It was a special anniversary for us so we asked our great server, Jade, to make recommendations. She did a super job! We had the red sangria plus nine other small plates. (It was a special occasion, remember!) It would be hard to pick a favorite as we loved everything we got, but the octopus, the pork skirt steak, and the mushrooms were just outstanding. We will definitely return first chance we get. This is a foodie paradise!
