“Cerdo Iberico- Certainly!”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

I agree! Reservations are the way to go and the food and atmosphere make this a great place to be seated and experience a great place. The food is prepared in plain view and the ingredients and choices make you think that you should definitely eat here more than once.
Service is wonderful and if you need recommendations, ask the staff and they are very clear on how things are plated!
We had the Cerdo Iberico and were very glad we ordered it! I am a fan of rosemary and thyme and herbs but the fresh ingredients stood out. Rioja, drinks, first class prep, and you left full but not overstuffed! Put this on your list! It is not an accident the restaurant and chef were rated like they were! Excellent! Yes...you will be "seen"

Find a way to go here. Period. Outstanding food, drinks, and service. Creative and not run-of-the-mill.

“Gotta try the cerdo iberico”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

Reserve way ahead of time as this place is hopping and for good reason. We sat at the bar and it felt a bit cramped. Recommend requesting a table. Service was very good and fast. Our waitress gave us very solid recommendations. Would definitely order everything again although I'd like to try other things! The piquillo peppers stuffed with goat cheese were lovely but the cerdo iberico with rosemary and thyme was off the hook! Have never had pork like this before and would highly recommend. Some of the plates are pretty good size, like the patatas bravas, while others are more your typical tapas size. Would definitely go back on my next trip to Asheville.

“To See and Be Seen....”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

You get the vibe, as my hubs and I did at the bar, that is the place in Asheville to see and be seen - that is, multifold - you can't beat the people-watching, sitting at the counter as the entire kitchen did its job in front of us was like a Food Network show come alive, and anyone strolling by or popping in to check on a table are clearly green with envy for the lucky ones who thought to call ahead.... far ahead. You can't beat it! Rioja fans, prepare for an entire menu of riojas to delight! :)

“I'd Try it Again”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

Nice, but I'm really out of place with a "hip crowd". The bread and tomato app was very good, but be warned, the potato salad is a cold mashed potato salad - not good. I asked to taste the bacalao to see if it was too salty and they refused! Oh, well, more lessons for the less-than-hip-sters to discover.
