“We enjoyed ourselves!”

Sunny Point Cafe is a fun breakfast spot! We were recommended to check it out and it was a happy choice.

My wife and I both had eggs, bacon and pancakes, and it was all delicious. The bacon in particular is phenomenal!

If you're looking for an eclectic restaurant with fresh food and creative dishes, this is it!

“Fried avocado tacos”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

Kids today will put anything on a taco. But the folks at sunny point figured out how to fry an avocado and put it in a delicious taco. It's an appetizer and you must order it. All of their food is really great, and definitely spend time checking out the garden.

“Love the concept and the creative entrees”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

These obviously highly conscious folks make an effort to grow the food they serve in the garden adjacent to the restaurant. They make their organic garden available for customers to walk through. I observed that they do companion planting, which tells me that they do know something about organic gardening. They say they use free range chicken and eggs and their delicious Guatemalan coffee is organic and locally roasted. Good food, though you are likely to wait for seating due to the popularity of this restaurant.

“Best Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

We had read reviews of Sunny Point Cafe being the best Sunday Brunch in Asheville, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is actually located in West Asheville, across the bridge from downtown. It is a very small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The waiting area is all outside, and surprisingly quite comfortable...under trees, etc. The day we went the weather was nice, so the wait wasn't bad, even though it was about 30-45 minutes. While we waited, the girls next to us had their dog with them, so I assume it's pet friendly. We were seated inside. The service was pretty slow. The food itself was quite good..be sure to have a glass of fresh squeezed OJ. The biscuits and jam were delish! It was hard to choose what to order from the menu..all sounded soo tasty and fresh and healthy!!
The bottom line is this restaurant serves excellent fresh healthy food. It is quite casual. It already has an excellent reputation. So if you try it, be willing to wait awhile. Be sure and check their website for the hours.

“Very yummy”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Nice to actually eat in a neighborhood cafe. Though there is indoor eating it was pleasant to eat on their patio. Healthy choices available but portions are huge. Wonderful blueberry bread pudding although I don't see much difference in it and blueberry French toast. My husband liked his breakfast sandwich too. It is dog friendly (can be a little crowded in that respect). When we were there their was a little terrier in a woman's lap, a small schnauzer under a table, and a couple with a golden retriever and an enormous German shepherd (well behaved and trying their best to make themselves smaller). A sign is posted to the effect that bad dogs will be asked to leave and take their owners with them.
