“exciting, bustling”
Reviewed June 11, 2014

Very popular place serving Indian Street Food, we sat at the bar as the place was packed. Very pleasant waitstaff, very efficient, extremely clean place...and the food - ample - no, more than ample portions. The Daily Thali was wonderful, but the real killer was the "matchstick okra fries" - pickled, julienned, fried, amazing...we'll be back...

“Mouthy Owner cares little about diners experience”
Reviewed June 11, 2014

Second visit to the restaurant in 2 days would indicate a positive experience was expected on my part. However, as we sat down, the owner (recognizable from his photo on the many reviews posted) began a long and loud table side talk with a fellow patron who was seated next to our table. The duration and volume of him talking (he was standing so it literally was right next to our table) ruined our meal. We could not hear each other talk. He continued to tell the story of spain, pigs, cooking processes, history, etc to the guest who said very little and who was presumably feeling as trapped by this man's one sided conversation as we were. Finally, we left and he was still talking. One has to wonder how an owner with so little regard for our experience could create such good food. He should have paid us for enduring.

“Don't miss this”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

This small, unassuming restaurant in the heart of downtown Asheville is truly amazing. Fast casual, order at the counter and staff brings your food to the table. The three of us over ordered and ate every bite! Butter chicken, okra, samosas, and a dish with green mango that we totally devoured! Truly a great find.

“Almost Authentic with a twist”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

We found this gem on our walk around town for a day. We ordered mostly appetizers and probably the best thing we could have had. It is not your typical indian restaurant where you have dozen types of curries. If you want to try different stuff stick to just appetizers and share.
