“Fun & tasty tour!”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

While my husband & I were in Asheville in October, we took the Downtown Asheville Food Tour. We weren't sure what to expect, but they exceeded any expectations we had. Our tour leader was knowledgeable not only on the places we visited, but on the history of Asheville, which made the tour extra enjoyable. Each restaurant or store we visited was expecting us and had food ready for us to taste, and not just a nibble, but a sit down at a table small meal. One place we visited even included a glass of wine! The tour enabled us to discover restaurants and stores that we probably never would have known about and we enjoyed all of them. Being a chocoholic I particularly enjoyed The Chocolate Fetish store! At the end of the tour you receive discount tickets if you want to go back to any of the stores/restaurants and eat or buy something. One note, if you are physically handicapped it could be difficult for you to walk around as we covered a lot of territory in downtown Asheville and there are hills. My husband and I both agreed that it was an excellent tour and next time we'll try their other tour "Biltmore Tour"!

“VERY DISAPPOINTED”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

We made reservations in Sept. Right before we left for our trip in Oct. they wrote to us to ask if we could change our tour from Tues to Wed. After switching everything around to accomodate them, we switched to wed. On wed, we went to the meeting location and waited, and waited, and waited and waited. Finally, we called them after being 20 mimutes late and they said, Oh, the tour has beeb cancelled.
They didn't send anyone to let us know. It's been two weeks now since we have been back and we still have not been credited our money.

“Great fun way to see Asheville and get a taste of the town”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

My wife and I took the tour last Friday. It was great fun! The group size was just right. Not too big to get around, but big enough that we were able to visit with several different couples and groups. We're local foodies and love to eat downtown and Chris still managed to take us into six places we've never tried! Some were on our "to-do" list and at least one we'd never heard of! The businesses all had something interesting to say and the tastes were wonderful! It would be a great way to start a visit to Asheville. It would help you get a sense of direction as well as get an idea of where you want to go back to eat. And I was suprised at how much food there was! Definately do not eat before you go!
