This old barn is filled were all sorts of "stuff"; some old some not so old. You can spend hours just wondering around. No air or heat so watch when you go.

The Tobacco Barn was a great experience. We visited by accident on one afternoon while waiting for a flight to come in to Asheville airport. We totally ran out of time so we went back the next day and spent three hours combing through the goodies. This place has furniture, some porcelain signs, crates, art, dinnerware, cups, some toys (but not many) and various other random items. It was well worth the visit. They do not haggle with you so expect to pay what is on the ticket unless you can try to squeeze 10% off out of them (but don't count on it). Oh, the temp was a little warm but they have massive fans moving the air. Lots of places for little kids to tip things over so beware.

This is the first North Carolina antique joint we visited therefore I cannot compare to other in-state antique stores. However, we have patronized several hundred antique stores across the USA over the years so I am comparing it to them when I assign an average rating. The Antique Tobacco Barn is the place to go for furniture. There are not many other catagories of antiques at this location. Everything is covered in a serious layer of dust as the large warehouse doors are open to the elements. I would not purchase any textile or fabric products here. For the most part is easily navigable and the staff seem friendly and ready to help you move your furniture purchases to your vehicle.

This place was HUGE! Too much stuff to take it all in. We didn't take time to try to look at everything and were still there well over an hour. This is a place you could spend all day in, or all week for that matter!

Love this place! I've been there several times and a good idea would be, once you go through it, go through it backwards. You'll see different stuff! I found a lot of good deals here, and I'll certainly go back again! Great staff, good prices, great selection, top notch!
