“Great way to spend the day treasure hunting”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

What a terrific experience! Plan to spend hours walking through this oversized building, up and down rows and rows of antiques and collectibles. Many unique items, both for indoors and out. Vintage items, big furniture, art, and much, much more. We have gone once a month for the last three months, and look forward to going this week to see what new items they have received. We never leave empty-handed.

“NOT IMPRESSED”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

On a recent trip to Asheville, we decided to check out the antique stores. My husband and I love to go antiquing in GA and TN, but NC antiques are totally different. The Tobacco Barn was such a mess the ceiling was dripping from the pouring rains Asheville was experiencing over the 4th of July weekend. Buckets were standing everywhere collecting the rain and spilling over onto the floor forming unsafe puddles everywhere. We were less than impressed. It looked like a huge barn of rusty junk. Someone else might find their treasures here, but we didn't want to sort through the rust and piled up junk to find ours. NC are proud of their antiques and the prices showed it on what we could see without climbing over something else to get to. We will continue to antique in GA and TN but Asheville antiques proved to be a bust for us.

“Hit or miss”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

As it has lots of different vendors in there there is a large quantity of crap in there. There is some cool stuff but I thought the prices were a bit high.

“Antiques Galore”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

We loved the huge old tobacco barn/turned antique store. There were lots of great items and they were all on consignment so the prices ranged from really cheap to somewhat expensive depending on the sellers. I also noticed that the employees there were able to contact owners to negotiate prices for you. We wanted to make a second trip before heading home, but because it was Sunday they didn't open until later in the day and we weren't able to. We would love to go back sometime and take my parents, who also love antiquing.

“Put your walking shoes on!”
Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

HUGE place! Make sure you have a few hours to spare and comfortable shoes. This place is full of antiques and lots of great finds. If we had a bigger vehicle, we would have definitely left with a few items!
