I am an Asheville native and have been meaning to do the Brews Cruise for years. A friend and I finally got around to it. We had a great time. The guys that run the tours are fun and also very knowledgeable. We enjoyed talking to them at the various stops that we made. Went to three breweries and had a flight of 4 or 5 at each one. If you like craft beer I would highly recommend this activity.

I did the bus tour with 3 other friends- we went to Catawba, French Broad & Wedge, but I understand it varies. JC and Zack were awesome guides (an adorably brothers) The tour started with more education and slowly moved into just plain fun once we were no longer in a state to learn :) Highly recommend!

I purchased 2 tickets for the Saturday noon tour as a Father's Day present for my husband. We live in Johnson City, Tennessee, so we are only an hour from Asheville, and we drove over that morning. The bus was easy to spot in the designated meeting area. There was a craft fair going on in downtown, so we had to hunt for a few minutes to find parking in a parking garage. We met our tour guide Jake outside of the bus, and he introduced himself and checked us in. It was just us and 2 other couples. The first brewery we went to was bout 20 minutes away, in Black Mountain. Pisgah Brewery was a great place with a funky vibe. We tasted several beers and toured the facility. They have an indoor and outdoor concert area, big garage doors that open up, and food trucks. I don't usually care for fruity or overly flavored beers, but they had a Blueberry Wheat that is amazing. They had just started canning it and we bought a 6 pack to go. Our next stop was French Broad brewery. It has changed owners recently and the new owners are working on some needed improvements to the interior. We tasted some more beers and were walked/talked through the whole brewing process from start to finish. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the entire process and could answer any questions at ll. He was also very funny, personable, and entertaining. Our last brewery stop was Hi-Wire. This was the most crowded brewery we stopped at. They had a big screen up with the World Cup game on. This was a very family friendly atmosphere with lots of families, kids, and dogs. We tasted some more beers here and toured the brewing/bottling/canning area. We bought a 6 pack of their Spring Lager (can't pass up a $5.00 six pack-LOL) The tour was great fun and the 2 other couples with us were nice to hang out with. We would definitely come back and do this again, maybe choosing the other tour to different breweries. All in all, a very good time for a reasonable price.

This was my second time on the Brews Cruise! 1st time was on my bachelorette party, and we loved it so much we brought our boys back for the experience this year. We had 8 of us on the bus and it was perfect time hanging out with friends at each of the 4 breweries, and really enjoyed learning from and chatting with the guides, JC and Zack. Learned about local breweries and different types of beers, with a lot of flexibility in choices of what kind of beer to drink. Well worth the price for the great beer and experience!

We booked the cruise for a Weds afternoon and my husband and I were the only ones on the tour that day. I was happy they didn't cancel since it was just 2 of us! We had a great time- we were able to visit 4 breweries and our guide took great care of us and was fun to talk to. It was a great way to visit some breweries we hadn't been to before and not have to worry about driving or parking or directions. It is worth the price. Our driver even dropped us off where we were headed next since we were the only ones on the tour. We've been to many breweries over the years and tour and we loved the brews cruise and would do it again.
