“Amazing View, Brand New Boutique Hotel and Great Service”
Reviewed December 15, 2009

Not one bad thing to say about this hotel.
My room had an amazing view of The Blue Ridge Mountains.
I was able to walk downtown to meet up with a client.
Dinner in the bistro was wonderful and the service was just as good.

The room decor was impressive. I especially loved the wood floors!

I love boutique hotels and this property certainly fits the bill! If I could, I would put the decor in my own home! The location is within walking distance to shopping, delightful restaurants, and a short drive to the Biltmore Estate. Aside from waxing poetic about the wonderful aesthetics of the hotel and the great food at the bistro, I would be completely remiss if I did not pay homage to the fantastic staff who took such wonderful care of us. Ms. Reba (front desk), Curt, and Kristen (the bistro)..thank you for everything!

This hotel is brand new. We saw more staff than guests. That said, great service. The decor is not really our taste. By decor I mean theme - here decor translates into an overall feel of the hotel, just like disney hotels have a disney feel. The "Go green, eco-friendly" theme means no carpet in the rooms, which makes for a cold feel (literally & figuratively), stark rooms & lobby, just a weird atmosphere. Aveda products but gas station sandpaper.. i mean toilet paper.. Great location in downtown - right on the interstate though. We heard some traffic noise even though our room was on the opposite side facing away from the interstate. Nice fitness (phitness as they call it) room - 2 treadmills, 1 rec bike, 1 ellip. - all new. no tv as it got stolen ? there are haiku poems all over the hotel - in your bathroom, phitness room, etc. a little odd ?

Asheville's newest hotel is not only in the best spot if you enjoy traversing this gem of a city by foot, its especially great if you appreciate farm-to-table cuisine and window shopping through Grove Arcade and beyond (all in middle of downtown). We stumbled upon this great hotel when researching exploreasheville.com, this stay truly made my husband's birthday very special and gave us new fond memories of our fave NC get-away. So much to take in and so many great spots to fuel up. (I recommend snacking at Phi in hotel lobby and dining at Limones, Tupelo Honey & The Admiral). The views from our room were spectacular, both of the Blue Ridge Mtns. & the city itself - adorned with Christmas lights at the moment. They really make you feel like you're home away from home. We hated to leave!

We decided to check out the new modern, "boutique" hotel in Asheville. It was perfectly adequate, but nothing special. It seems they are confusing weird with boutique. Lots of ugly graphics throughout the hotel. Nice room, free parking and reasonable rate. Our room did not have carpeting, which was a little strange. All in all, not bad.

We are Ashevillians (20 years now) and love our downtown. I took my wife to the brand spanking new Hotel Indigo for a surprise birthday treat. The hotel's modern, hip, boutique character fits perfectly into Asheville's "funky" downtown location and Architectural style. Once you park your car in the underground parking, you can leave you car and walk to any of the great bars or restaurants. We did tapas at Sambras, and wine at the Wine Bar in the Grove Arcade. The staff (Susie) were really accommodating. We upgraded to one of their suites and ended up with a carrot cake for desert in our room with 10 friends. Breakfast was out of the Indigo's Starbuck's bar in the lobby. Incredible price and value. If I didn't live 6 blocks away, I'd love to stay here for a week!
