Admission is $8 per car. Dogs are not allowed in the gardens or facilities. There are poo sacks and waste bins located throughout the grounds for pets. The trails are well maintained, including signage describing various plant species. Signs seemed sporadic and random but its better to learn something than nothing. Some parts of the park seemed still unfinished, such as the rhododendron garden. We didn't see any rhododendrons, just plots of tall grass. The gardens are really pretty though I was surprised/disappointed that not every plant was labelled. The map provided at the entrance wasn't very good, so it's just as well to start walking down any random trail and enjoy the woods. The bonsai exhibit is amazing and worth the price of admission. At the entrance a bar coded card is provided. Hold onto it, because it's needed to swipe at the exit to let you out. Admission allows you all day entry/exit. Also, I used apple maps on my iphone to navigate there. It didn't take me to the correct entrance of the park, so follow the road signs to the Arboretum, and it'll be easy to get to.
