It tells a ot about Asheville but I took some friends there who were in their 70s and they thought the walk was too much even tho they liked what they saw

relatively interesting thing to do if you are interested in just getting outside for a little fresh air and exercise. Hard not to get distracted by the stores, chocolate shops, and breweries though..

This wasn't something I planned to see while in Asheville however it was really cool to just walk around and stumble upon all the different statues they have set up.

We thoroughly enjoyed walking this 'trail' and finding all of the 'sites'.
We took our time and spent about two hours discovering downtown Asheville via this well planned 'trail' guide.

Love the "Urban Trail"! I work at a large downtown hotel and when our guests want to explore and learn about Asheville history, art and architecture, the Urban Trail is perfect. It's free and self-directed and the markers range from the humorous giant bronze shoes outside the Thomas Wolfe House to the 10' giant flat iron by the Flatiron building. Best yet, it's easy to let serendipity take over along the route and who's knows what you'll discover?? Asheville's Parks and Recreation department maintains the trails' stops and prints a terrific brochure that make exploring easy.
