Description: Nona Mia Market, Deli & Pizzeria will be closing its doors as of Tuesday, June 30, 2015. It's been a phenomenal twelve years for us here in West Asheville...and we want to take this opportunity to thank all of our patrons for your support, your friendship, and for all the wonderful memories we'll be taking away from our time in business here. We will be taking time off to (finally) relax and enjoy family. Although Nona Mia is now a memory, that doesn't mean we've distanced ourselves permanently from Asheville...we hope to resurface somewhere, soon, in some capacity. The Farmhouse Pie has not died! We wish love and good health, happiness and harmony, and peace within, for all our friends and former patrons. And one last time, we wish you...Buon appetito!

“Homemade Italian”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2012

This is Italian the way that it is supposed to be! It is all very good and tastes like the dishes are prepared to order as opposed to in larger batches and reheated. The location is excellent and in a trendy part of town.

“Worth the trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2012

What a fantastic place to have a taste of authentic Italian cooking.
Went on Tuesday night and ordered the Anti pasta. The olives and the bread were just fabulous. For our main course we had the sausage pizza. It was fresh and the crust was just terrific.
Our waitress was really good. Great food and great service.
The live music was a special treat.
Ordered the Lemon Almond cake for dessert. Really light and refreshing.

“Garlic Bread + Farmhouse Pizza = Happiness”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

We went to Nona Mia at the recommendation of the innkeeper where we were staying, and were very pleasantly surprised. After our meal there, I don't think we'll ever be able to visit Asheville without a stop at Nona Mia.

The garlic bread was great -- delicious marinara dipping sauce, delicious homemade bread, and perfect seasoning. But the main event here is the pizza. We tried the farmhouse pizza, and it was amazing. It looks as good as it tastes, as evidenced by the next table over from us ordering it, and then the table next to them ordering it!

The dough was made from scratch, the sauce was incredible, the cheese was fresh and not the shredded junk you get at pizza chains, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. This is a sicilian pie, so if you like a New York style pizza, this might not be your favorite. One pie was more than enough for 2 people...I think we could have fed 3 or 4.

Nona Mia is not downtown in the middle of it all, but it's worth the short drive.

Moved in with it's sister restaurant. Has pizza and lots of other Italian dishes. Gelato available. Nice back porch for outdoor dining.

“Who does that?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2012

Looking for a real Italian meal, lasagna but Nona Mia's was meatless. A little pricey, $30 but the kicker was when I asked for some butter for my bread, I was charged for the butter. Who does that?
