We had a great time escaping from the kid/family room. It was challenging enough to keep us all focused, while the owner offered us adequate clues so we were not frustrated. A lot of thought has gone into making this a wonderful "team building" experience.

My husband and I were celebrating our Anniversary and it was the first time we ever tried an escape room. It was the most fun I've had in ages. The atmosphere was simply wonderful! Looking forward to going again but this time with more people.

Had a great time. We did both rooms and they were both great! They have a great beginner room for kids and a more challenging room for escape room enthusiast!

Thank you for your review! At FOX-N-OTTER we strive to connect with folks that have a deep love for the game experience and those who are just starting out. Because of this we have intentionally designed our rooms to include puzzles and riddles that offer a variety of challenges. Our environments are meant to offer maximum fun, while being fast-fast paced, and challenging. I'm glad you were able to enjoy both of our Escape Experiences. My teens loved it!!! This is such a treat to have in South Asheville. No need to fight the tourists downtown! Support local!!!

Thank you for your kind review! We sure enjoyed having your team come through our Escape Room! We are the first Escape Room experience on the south end of town-- and while we love our tourists very much, we are intentionally connected to the edge of Royal Pines Neighborhood because this is our local community. Be sure to check out our tutoring initiative! It's our way to give back to locals!

We had such a fantastic time here. The owner was incredibly friendly, and it's truly a family affair with his daughters providing the best voiceovers for the explainer videos. I have never been to an escape room before, but our group had an amazing time. The puzzles were satisfyingly difficult, the time pressure was spot-on, and there was a real feeling of accomplishment.
They had clearly put a lot of thought, both into the puzzles themselves and into the quality of the props and how to interact with them. It was exactly the right level of difficulty - at no point did it feel frustrating or we didn't know where to go next. The confirmations when we had done something right and gleaned an answer were extremely useful.
The set itself was excellent too - lots of props to pickup and use - the whole experience was very tactile. Another great element is that everyone had a chance to shine - whether you're good at spatial awareness, maths, discussion, delegation, problem solving or something else, there was ample opportunity for everyone to take part.
There was also a really cool *wow* surprise about halfway through that made everything even more exciting. Want to know what is it? You will have to go and play!
I would thoroughly recommend Fox and Otter and would definitely encourage you to go - you'll come out with a sense of triumph and a big smile on your face! We certainly did.

Thank you for your honest and kind review of FOX-N-OTTER. We strive to provide a customer experience that surpasses what anyone expects. Rarely does someone appreciate the menutia and nuances of creating an interactive environment as you have though.
Many people do not realize we intentionally have multiple-non-linear puzzles incorporated into our rooms so that all members of the group can remain busy at once. This provides a fast-paced game, but also various streams of plot advancing at once.
