I recently stayed at the Pinecrest last week for 2 nights. The owner of the property is very friendly and helpful with providing information on things to do and how to get around in Asheville.
The B&B itself was okay, not the nicest B&B I have stayed in, but was very quiet. The water pressure in the shower was kind of lacking. The heating could have been better since the bathroom was freezing in the mornings and the room itself a bit chilly in the evenings (I stayed in the Vance room). The breakfasts, which are 2 courses, in the mornings were okay. The first morning, I was not too fond of the baked apple stuffed with granola drizzled with a yogurt sauce. I don't remember what the main course was that first morning. The second morning the breakfast was much better - sliced cantaloupe as an appetizer and a spinach cheese quiche served with ham and sliced tomatoes.
I think what makes Pinecrest a nice B&B are the owners who are very friendly and really adds charm to the place.
