My wife and I frequent B & B's across the country and have tried a number of Asheville B & B's. but with Pinecrest we have now found our go to destination. Pinecrest is meticulously maintained yet warm and charming. Janna, Jim and Stacy made us feel like family and provided welcome and wonderful tips on local restaurants, events, and attractions that helped us make the most out of a memorable long weekend. Located in the heart of the historic Montford district, it is conveniently located to the sights and sounds of downtown Asheville. We tried two of the rooms, one had a second private entrance/balcony which provided a great view of the many wild birds, beautiful flowers and foliage. The other room had a spectacular fireplace and about the most comfortable king size bed we I've ever been on. Breakfast was superb, my favorite being the pecan covered pumpkin pancakes, though my wife was partial to the stuffed glazed croissants. The nightly fare of homemade baked treats, coffee, tea and wine provided the perfect finishing touch each night. We are already planning a return trip (our 3rd ) here!

Room Tip: Just browse the web site for great pics but in person its even better! We have looked at every room...

My husband and I spent five nights in the Grace Suite and had a wonderful experience. The room was spacious and the fireplace a real delight!! Breakfast each day was always lovely and delicious and the conversation around the table with the other guests was a bonus as we got to hear more about things others were doing and the various states they came from. Janna knew all the BEST ways to see Asheville and also the terrific restaurants in the area which were not your usual chains. We had some of the best meals ever!!! We were so glad this was our "home base" while we were in Asheville!! You won't be disappointed if you make this your "home base" when you are in the area.

Room Tip: Grace Suite is located on the first floor and that can be a bonus with luggage and it also seems to...

My husband and I recently spent a week in Asheville, NC and stayed at this wonderful B&B. The inn was as neat as a pin, and the owners were both friendly and helpful. Each morning, Stacy prepared a lovely breakfast that always included fresh fruit and a delicious main dish served with juice, coffee and fresh baked breads. Every afternoon, we looked forward to finding a treat in the dining room awaiting our return. A different baked good delighted our taste buds each day! Janna was very helpful in advising us on our restaurant and entertainment choices. Her selections were excellent. The inn is within walking distance of downtown Asheville, and we would highly recommend it.

This is a charming house in a historic district, with very knowledgeable innkeepers, who are also creative and considerate cooks! Breakfasts were varied and delicious, and personal preferences were accommodated. Our first floor room was quiet and the the bed quite comfy. The porch was the perfect spot to read or chat with other guests. The inn is conveniently located, so travel to see the sites or eat in fabulous restaurants was easy. Janna and Stacey made excellent recommendations - as a result, this was the most fun and relaxing mini-vacation we've had in a while. We highly recommend Pinecrest B&B when visiting or exploring the Asheville area!

I was looking for a beautiful AND relaxing bed & breakfast in Asheville and stumbled upon Pinecrest. The proprietors, Janna, Stacy and Jim are delightful and Janna is an AMAZING cook serving up the most extraordinary breakfast!

The rooms are well appointed, and very comfortable (I travel extensively for work and this was two of the best nights sleep despite the W "heavenly bed" experience). There is plenty of room for guests to sit, relax and chat. My friends and I really enjoyed the screened in sun room where you could open up the windows, enjoy the cool mountain air, watch & hear the birds. You felt as though you were miles away from anyone and yet you have the convenience of being less than a mile from downtown.

To give you an idea of the breakfast:
day 1: spinach soufflé, local ham, fruit cup, homemade zucchini bread
day 2: orange blossom french toast, local pork sausage, yogurt parfait, homemade pumpkin bread.

I will definitely stay at Pinecrest again!

We flew into Asheville to begin a road trip to celebrate our birthdays. Stacy and Janna remembered this detail and we were greeted with two delicious cupcakes in our room! As other reviewers have said, the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, using fresh, local ingredients. The location was well-suited for walking into Asheville for dinner. We had wonderful suggestions for things to do during our stay. I would suggest this B & B to anyone visiting the Asheville area. It was a beautiful home in an older neighborhood run by gracious and enthusiastic hosts who want every guest to have a great stay in their city.

We spent 3 nights in mid-July 2013, at Pinecrest B&B, and enjoyed our stay immensely. Our room was very comfortable and large. We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before so we were very apprehensive, but Pinecrest laid those fears to rest. The hostess was very helpful about attractions, directions and places to eat. The one mile walk to downtown was a great way to get some exercise after the scrumptious breakfast. The sunroom was a great place to sit and relax with tea or coffee and read or catch up on the ipad. They even accommodated our son and daughter-in-law for breakfast one morning! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay here again if we ever visit Asheville again!

Room Tip: We stayed in the only bedroom on the first floor - Grace Suite - I believe.
