The Sweet Biscuit Inn is absolutely fantastic. Christian and Claudia are the most gracious hosts, and adapted very quickly to our needs. We took our 17 month old there over Labor Day weekend, and they have all the accoutrements required for his breakfast, and sleeping arrangements. Their breakfasts are exquisite, and the picnic lunch and flower offering was a hit with the misses. More importantly, they are genuinely kind, gentle people and very warm and open to their guests. The location is perfect - about half way between downtown and the Biltmore Village, on a quiet little side street. I strongly encourage anyone taking their children to Asheville to make the stop at the Sweet Biscuit Inn

Thank you for reviewing us! We're pleased to hear that you and your family had such a wonderful stay with us. It was a delight getting to host you the three of you this past Labor Day weekend.

A perfect location, "exquisite" breakfasts, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere—you've hit upon everything we aim for, and we value your lovely comments.

We hope to stay in touch and to welcome you back the next time you're in Asheville! It will be our joy to see you again and to watch your lovely boy grow up. Thanks again, and take care.

Best wishes,

Thank you for reviewing us! While we appreciate your compliments about our location, we were disappointed to hear that you weren't impressed with our breakfast.

We take a lot of pride in our cooking, and for the most part, our guests have only wonderful things to say about breakfast which usually includes eggs, meat and biscuits. Our goal is to cater to all our guests' dietary needs. You were part of a group of three with two vegans that had ordered further menu restrictions (no meet, no eggs, no dairy products in any form). We were hoping to have found a good balance and regret to hear that our impression was wrong. We are always open to feedback, so if you have any specific suggestions about what we could do better next time, it'd be much appreciated.

We hope that you'll give us another opportunity to impress you with delicious food and service the next time you're in Asheville. Thank you for sharing your comments, and take care!

Best wishes,

We (I, my wife and two small children) stayed at the Carriage House (a two bedroom suite located in the back, away from the main Inn). It was awesome! The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The Inn makes a tremendous effort to make children happy during the stay. There is a playground in the back yard, there are plenty of games and toys. There are public playgrounds nearby as well. This really helped keep our children happy and busy during our stay and made for a much more comfortable and relaxing vacation. The owners did a great job in keeping the facilities clean and were very gracious hosts. The breakfast was outstanding and gave us an opportunity to meet the hosts and other guests. We were able to share tourist information about Asheville such as restaurant picks, hiking paths, and shopping experiences. It really helped as we were new to Asheville, and since we were staying at a location apart from the Inn, we did not often meet and talk to other people around the Inn. We had an amazing time. The Inn is situated in a very nice neighborhood that is centrally located to all of the interesting areas of Asheville, yet it felt secluded as well. Would highly recommend this Inn to others, especially if you are traveling with children. Thank you Sweet Biscuit Inn for a great stay!

Room Tip: If you are traveling as a family, I recommend the Carriage House!

My husband and I stayed at the Sweet Biscuit for three nights with our two year old and seven week old baby and had a great experience. The house is definitely not one of those B&B's with tons of breakable knick-knacks and there is enough room that we didn't feel that we had to hold our daughter's hand every time we walked through the door. The hosts were great and there was plenty of delicious food at every breakfast. They also kindly set us up with a small bed for the two year old at no charge even though we had brought a pack and play.

Room Tip: If you want quiet, choose room #4 upstairs.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sweet Biscuit Inn. The hosts were wonderful and the three course breakfasts were amazing. We stayed in the cottage when there was extremely hot and humid weather and the upstairs did get a little warm. My husband and I enjoyed sitting and reading on the front porch of the Inn and it is a children friendly place.

We're thrilled that you and your husband enjoyed your visit to the Sweet Biscuit Inn this past summer. Few things are more relaxing than reading a good book on the porch! Flattered that you liked the three course breakfasts as well. Did you have any particular favorites?

We hope to welcome you back the next time you are in Asheville. Thank you for your positive rating, and kind regards.

Sincerely,

We stayed for 4 nights over 4th of July. We rented almost all the rooms in the inn for a family reunion. They were kind to provide a pack and play for our daughter, but it was from the eaerly 90's and was pretty beat up. The breakfasts were incredible and the coffee delicious. However, there were never any snacks/drinks available during the day/night. Not even water. When asking for ice water, we were asked to bring the small cup from our room and they would give us ice, and we could get water from the faucet (which is normally fine- but we were sitting on the porch hanging out). We were never being rowdy, but asked to please move our "party" elsewhere or go to bed 2 different nights. Maybe they were stressed, or maybe they just aren't the friendly "inn type people". I would still recc this place, because of the awesome porch and breaskfasts, but if you are wanting a true "inn experience", then this isn't the place for you.

Room Tip: Our room #3 had a window a/c unit and a large clawfoot tub, which was nice.

Thank you for recommending us, Liz. Flattered that you enjoyed breakfast! We take a lot of pride in the fact that we are experienced B&B owners, so it is disappointing that you think we haven't managed to offer a true inn experience. For the most part, our guests have found us to be very welcoming, relaxed, and friendly, so we are sorry if you felt otherwise. As experienced innkeepers we feel the obligation to care for disturbance-free nights for all our guests, which is why we asked you to be quiet(er) at 1am. I hope you can understand our reasoning here and did't take our plea as an offense.

Furthermore, as advertised on our website, we only offer breakfast. We'd be more than happy to make a lunch or dinner recommendation if you are hungry. There are lots of great places to eat in Asheville, after all! Regardless, we'll definitely take your advice into consideration. If you have any other thoughts or ideas, please feel free to share them with us.

Thank you for reviewing us. We hope you had a memorable family reunion! Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Kind regards,

Christian, Owner & Claudia, Owner & Chef
