This is a favorite place to take our hosts out to dinner when we visit them. Old world service with a great menu. The Inn lobby is charming with live orchids (my favorite flower). It is just a lovely place to go for a special dinner.

We stayed at the Inn and had breckfast which was very pleasant. the food choices were good and the seating area was bright with lots of windows to look out at the beautiful hillside.

Excellent menu, wine list, service and general staff. We had the pleasure of dining here once and we will return to sample other options in the future. Highly Recommend!

It was our anniversary, so we decided to go to one of Asheville's high-end dining choices. We were very happy with our choice. Why? The room is beautiful both inside and looking out at the marvelous view of the mountain scenery. You can even carry on a conversation without shouting! Service was excellent, from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Our water glasses were filled 8 times in 90 minutes. The servers and ancillary staff were well trained and pleasant. The menu was wide-ranging. We chose to share an appetizer -- crab gnocchi -- which the chef divided and was delicious. A bread selection was offered and we asked for one of each. All were tasty, especially the cheese puff. An amuse was also offered -- little cups of a blueberry soup. Nice. Our entrees were the twin lobster tails and the diver scallops; both home runs and ample enough to ask for a take-home box for lunch the next day. We splurged on a dessert and shared the flourless chocolate cake which actually was quite complex with multiple layers of calorific goodness. The plate came adorned with a "Happy Anniversary" in chocolate. Considering all the above, the check was reasonable. We will definitely return.

This is a fabulous retreat in the country, not far from the bustling city life of Asheville. Nicely appointed property with very attentive staff, and a menu that is sure to please even the most discriminating diner. We ate here twice in three days, and had a nice experience each time.
