The "high end" restaurant at this lovely hotel is definitely worth frequenting, but don't expect anything extraordinary. That said, you won't be disappointed. While the menu contains the usual assortment of fish, fowl and meat options, everything is prepared with care and the portions are sensible. We dined two evenings in a row and were completely pleased. Service is highly professional and consistent with the quality of the food. Wine... many selections from North Carolina... were surprisingly drinkable. I didn't have the courage to order a bottle, but the "reserve" offerings by the glass were quite good. Who knew?
What we didn't expect was the quality of the breakfast buffet, served in the same restaurant. It's exceptional. And, of course, the view remains a wonderful benefit.
All in, this is a fine restaurant, and while perhaps not as inventive as many big city joints, it's darned good and very satisfying. You'll be pleased you booked. And try the "Biltmore Antler Reserve Cab. Yummy.
