My second time touring the estate. This time in a snow storm that dropped about 12 inches of snow which muffled sound and provided a beautiful backdrop for the Biltmore. I spent about two hours admiring the Christmas decorations set in the grandeur of the largest home in the United States. There are so many fascinating details to the home that eventually I was overwhelmed. I ate in the Stable Cafe and enjoyed an ample and delicious luncheon of smoked short ribs. erfect day.

This is my 2nd visit at Christmas. Decorating done to perfection. If you can only go once go early get in, see the house during the day and, if you can, stay for the candlelight dusk view. It's always wonderful and take time to appreciate the work it takes to have a landmark like this in our backyard.

Biltmore is America’s castle. It blew me away. The tour was self guided and we did even see much of the house. The basement is the coolest with the bowling alley and the swimming pool a must see. The grounds are beautiful. The gardens are also. This is the first true lifestyles of the rich and famous.

This trip to the Biltmore was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed the history of the home. We toured the home, then a special upstairs downstairs tour. After dinner we returned for the candlelight tour. It's beyond words to describe the beauty of this home. I recommend the upstairs downstairs tour for interesting details. You are allowed to take photos.
