On our recent trip to Asheville we stopped in to hear Gypsy Jazz. What a great night. A few drinks and great music. Nice bar, and plenty of tables, seating. Wait staff efficient and knows if you move to a new location so you can get continued service.
I don't know if there is a cover charge every night, but this particular night there was. Well worth it.

We went on a Wednesday night and there were ten mountain musicians sitting in a circle on stage playing mountain music. I had never seen anything like it and loved how they were playing for the sake of playing and not even facing the audience. The nachos and shepherds pie were good and they have a large beer selection.

We stopped in on a Thursday night, which is Bluegrass nite. The band was excellent and entertaining. A good selection of craft beers. The food was good as was the service. Good value too.

Start off with an excellent selection of craft beers on draft, mostly local but a few well-chosen national ones as well, and then add to that a small but interesting selection of pub fare and nightly specials. Everything was excellent, including the live (and free) old-time music we got to listen to while there on a Wednesday night. The service could've been better and some locals intimated that this wasn't unusual, so don't go here if you're in a hurry.

This place was in a good location and easy to get to. After a little warming up, the bar staff let us in on some of the history while we sipped on our flights.
