“Eclectic art community”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014

If you enjoy oils, clay, acrylic, watercolors, etc you will find something to catch your eye in the River Arts District. There are many artists at work and it is interesting to watch them finish their masterpieces. When you're ready for a bite to eat-stop at Clingman Cafe for a great lunch or latte.

“LOTS TO SEE HERE!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2013

Enjoyed walking around and popping into a few studios to watch the artists create their beautiful works. There is something for everyone in this very hip area. Ate lunch alfresco at White Duck Taco on a pleasant early December day. We had a gourmet duck taco and a shrimp taco and two beers for around $20. Food was great, busy place, we could see why it is a local's favorite.

“A Day of Art”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2013

You could spend a day walking from building to building, studio to studio, enjoying the paintings, pottery, fabric arts, weavings, sculpture, jewelry, and glasswork in the River Arts District. Get a map early on so that you don't miss anything and wear your walking shoes!

“Hip area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2013

this area really vibed with the culture, music and food.I loved the hippy feel without the stereotypical flake factor.
I enjoyed the variety of foods to eat, the music following you through the streets and the often humorous pedestrians dancing as they walk or singing as they skip...either way, perceptional awareness will be your humorous guide on this trek.

“Disjointed but cool!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2013

We went to one area that had a building with about 6 different art studios - all were nice and diverse. but there is no sidewalk to get to other areas of the river so make sure you plan out where you want to go. Look on the website for RAD so you know what is open. And definitely eat at the White Duck Taco Shop!
