“Loved it!”

We stayed two nights here and the location was perfect for our plans. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was large with a king bed. Very clean. Breakfast had variety-always nice to find yogurt. No negatives. Would definitely stay again.

I went here with friends visiting from out of the area, to see Biltmore Estate. The hotel is located just a couple miles past the Biltmore Estate exit off of I-40. It is tucked in off the main road, yet near shops and restaurants.
I made the reservations for 2 rooms and was able to get Marriott Rewards points on both rooms. One was a king and the other had 2 queens. The front desk agent put us on the top floor with views of the mountains. My room was actually a mini suite with a small living area that had a sofa, desk and entertainment center, including coffee maker and microwave. the bedroom area was separated by a cutout wall and it also had a tv. The bed was a little firm but still comfortable.
The hotel was very clean. They were in the process of replacing all the existing tv's with flatscreen HD models. ( 36")
There was a free breakfast buffet off the lobby with a huge assortment of items including waffles ( you pour and cook on a waffle machine), eggs, bacon, ham and egg muffin sandwiches, oatmeal, cold cereals and fruit, juices and hot beverages. also, free USA Today newspaper. With the tax, each room was just over 130.00 a night.
I would return to this hotel. The staff were very helpful as well.

As a regular Marriott guest I selected the Fairfield Inn Asheville South for a recent trip to visit the Biltmore Estate. The location is quite convenient and easy to get to both the Estate as well as into Asheville.

As expected at this time of year (especially on the weekend) the hotel was quite busy. Even still, the staff was quite attentive with both check-in and check-out as well as the breakfast service. Although close to the highway it was very quiet and no loud guests or kids running around the halls either. (Sometimes that's a concern when you get an inexpensive nightly rate as we did here.)

Room was clean and well apportioned - housekeeping impeccable. Also had a small business center which we used to print boarding passes.

All in all it was a good stay and a good value for the money.

I stay here regularly when in Asheville. It is clean and well maintainted. They've just installed new 37" LED HDTV in each room. The towels aren't thin and worn. The morning free breakfast has a good variety. It is close to a number of good eateries.

While visiting Asheville for 2 nights on our roadtrip we chose to stay at the Fairfield Inn Asheville South. We knew that one of the things we wanted to see was the Biltmore Estate which was close by.
This hotel was great! The staff could not have been friendlier. Everything was clean, comfortable and relaxing. The hotel grounds were surrounded by trees and a natural setting. The front desk gave good recommendations about where to go eat. The breakfast at the hotel was filling and good quality. I noticed that they have a washer & dryer available for guests, but didn't have tiime to take advantage of that. This is also a great place to stay if you want to get right onto the Blue Ridge Parkway.
While there we toured the Biltmore Estate - awesome! And we also did a Grayline Trolly city tour of Asheville which was fun and informative. I wish we could have spent more time there since it seems like a real fun town to visit.

The location was great. It was extremely easy to find right off the highway, and there were many places to eat nearby. Fairfield gave us a coupon for a nearby steak and seafood restaurant that was a local favorite. We also made use of the grocery store that was only one block away.
The room was large, clean, and nicely decorated. It had a microwave and refrigerator which was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was very large and could accommodate a good size crowd, but when we ate breakfast at around 8 o'clock there were not many people there. The continental breakfast included hot items like waffles and sausage, as well as the regular fruits and cereals.
I enjoyed my stay here and would return if given the chance.
The only negative was the smell on our floor (5th). Every time we came out of the elevator, we smelled a "cat pee" smell. Luckily, the smell was not in our room.

I usually stay at Fairfield Inns as they are a good value in the Marriott brands of hotels. The only 'miss' on this stay was the front desk had NO COMPLIMENTARY DETERGENT (which was posted right in the laundry room). Unfortunately, I had to go down the street to the local grocer and buy the smallest bottle of Tide which I now had to pack with me home. Additionally, the rooms (carpeting mostly) were average but there was some weird 'gunk' on the carpeting that my 7 yr old stepped in which was gross. The breakfast buffet was good but the speed of service at the front counter wasn't the best either.
