Hampton Inn Asheville - I-26 Biltmore Area
Ranked #16 of 66 Hotels in Asheville
Reviewed February 22, 2013

We chose the Hampton Inn because it had an indoor pool and hot tub. There are plenty of other hotels that are less expensive in the area. But, we wanted a hot tub. Each year we meet another family up there and we take the kids snow tubing. We get cold (it was snowing) and then we come back to the hotel to warm up in the hot tub. We have been doing this for five years. This is the first time we stayed at this Hampton Inn because it was a closer drive.
When we did go to the hot tub Friday evening the temperature was only a little warmer than the pool. Several other guests complained about the temperature as well. When I mentioned it, to the front desk, I was told maintenance had been called and they were adjusting it but it would take time for it to heat up. We stayed another hour in the pool area and it never did. After breakfast on Saturday we planned to take a dip in the hot tub before checking out- hoping it was fixed. At this time the pool was warmer. Everything else was good- the staff, the rooms etc. but I don't know if we will stay at this one again. The hot tub and pool was the deciding factor on staying at this Hampton Inn and my expectation fell way short. Making sure you amenities are up and running correctly is very important to keep customers.

Dear James D.:
First let me say that I am sorry that our Hot Tub was not functioning properly when you were staying with us. Unfortunately we were having a problem with the Hot Tub's thermostat and have a new one on the way. Our Maintenance Team did everything that they could think of to try and resole the issue, but in the end the part had to be ordered. This being said, does not make it any better for you. I wish that you had asked to see me prior to your departure so that I could make it right for you and invoke our 100% Guarantee. If you could please take a moment to contact me, I would love to speak with you personally to resolve this issue. Our guest's satisfaction is our number one goal. Again, please accept my apologies. Barbara Kish / GM

This was the perfect hotel for a quick 2 day getaway! Check-in was super easy. The front desk was helpful and professional, offering us a list of things to do and places to eat. We enjoyed the cookies waiting on us upon our arrival. The room was extremely clean and even though we could see the highway, there was little noise from the busy traffic. The pool and the hot tub area was perfect and provided relaxation after a busy day of downtown walking. Breakfast each morning was tasty with sausage, potatoes, waffles and lots of other great choices. We are looking forward to our next visit to the Hampton Inn during our next visit to Asheville!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 319, facing the highway. If possible, request an even number room which will pos...

WOW, what a nice surprise. Traveling all day, mostly in down pouring rain. At 8:00pm,we were near Biltmore Square and had enough of the highway and all the semi trucks. Even though the hotel rating we checked was 2 1/2stars we took a chance. I'm sooo glad we did, what a nice place.
Staff very friendly and helpful!, rooms very clean and beds and pillows were great! Lots of tasty restaurants close by. I would like to return and spend time to see what Asheville has to offer.

This Hampton Inn was no better or worse than any other ones we have stayed in over the past few years. It was nice and quiet, but nothing out of the ordinary. We had a brief stay and would stay here again if in the area. Good value for the money.

My wife and I stayed here one night before going to the Inn at the Biltmore Estate the next day. I've been to many Hampton Inns over the years and this one was one of the very best. The beds were comfortable, the room and bathroom seemed spotless, the staff courteous, the TV worked just fine, and the breakfast buffet, although typical fare of that sort was well presented and actually quite tasty. There is free wi-fi and again, it worked perfectly. The elevators were very clean, and likewise was the whole property.

We'd stay again if we were in the area.

Room Tip: Easy to find, close to lots of restaurants and other shopping. Rooms are all the same as far as I ca...
