The rooms have been recently remodeled, they were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The beds were extremely comfortable- no back ache after four nights. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. A great value- one of the best Choice Hotel Stays we have ever experienced.

We made reservations and when we got there they said they never received it. The front desk manager ended up giving us a room that someone else reserved but hadn't put a deposit on. The room was warm and had a musky smell when we walked into it. The bathroom sink had hair in it so I'm not sure how clean the bathroom was. On top of all this the fire alarm went off three times between the hours of 5a.m. and 8a.m. I checked with the front desk to see what was going on and they said whenever the water pressure drops, the fire alarm goes off.

We picked it because it was close to Biltmore Estate and reasonably price, especially if you become "Choice Hotels Member" - they have special prices for members, better than any price I found on other sites. Nice room, very quiet. Comfortable beds with 4 pillows each - 2 soft and 2 harder. Everything was clean. The coffeemaker and ice bucket were located in the bathroom - odd choice. Our room faced the woods in the back of the hotel, but the bright light right next to our window was lighting our room all night long and there were no drapes to shield us from this bright light.
Room had 2 refrigerators one of them had freezer (we could "re-charge" our cooler elements). Breakfast is included - better than your average hotel breakfast - waffles, yogurts, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits, oatmeal, bagels, blueberry muffins, cereals, juices (orange and apple), tea, coffee. Large bright clean breakfast room with TV. Free USA Today newspaper. Free Wi-Fi.

Room Tip: Our room faced the woods in the back of the hotel and was very quiet, but the bright light outside o...

My daughter (14) had never seen Biltmore so we decided to take a 2 day get-a-way. Upon arriving we were checked in promptly. I was a little worried because the lobby smelled of smoke (not horribly but still). When we got to our room we were very pleased. It smelled very fresh, was very clean, and the bathroom was VERY nice!! The room décor was pleasant and the beds were comfy! The pool was also clean and we had a great time relaxing after the day at Biltmore. The breakfast was ok. The eggs and gravy (which was canned as I saw the employee opening it and it was watered way down) were kind of ehh, but everything else was good, especially the waffles. We will definitely stay here again if visiting the Asheville area.

Clean hotel. Rooms look newly remodeled. I noticed some rooms even have a small balcony you can sit out on (I didn't get one of those rooms. Not sure how you do). Only downside of the hotel is the elevator was VERY slow. It's only 3 stories, but it takes forever to arrive at a floor.
Breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast. It was good and filling, but nothing overly exciting. If you really want something different, there is a Cracker Barrel restaurant a few feet away.
Only a few minutes from the Biltmore Estate by Interstate.

Recent stay for four nights to visit the area and see the Biltmore. Great hotwire rate, making it half the cost of nearby competing chain properties. Well maintained, and looked more expensive than it was. Located near an old shopping mall that is being demolished and rebuilt.
Parking was adequate with some large trucks taking multiple spots, late comers park in the last couple of spaces in the back. Signs warn of towing from the former mall lot, so apparently this is often an issue.
Friendly, competent desk. Maids did a fine job. Breakfast attendants were just okay. As many have noted, seating at breakfast is very limited. Trays provided to carry your food to your room, a banquet room, or lobby chairs. Supply of free US Today newspaper was exhausted early each day. Breakfast food was the usual low quality, mediocre food offered at these places.
Window AC/heat units were not very good at circulating room air. No separate switched exhaust fan in bathroom (I hate that). Large TV had 100 channels including multiple HBO' s, Showtime, etc. Major issue was the way too squishy, soft bed. Not comfortable at all.
would we stay here again? Sure if we got a very cheap rate again. But there are dozens of close by chain hotels...they're all pretty much the same....we'll go for the best deal.

Room Tip: Our room on the first floor was easy in and out. Hotel is built in a bit of a depression, so very qu...

Can always count on the Comfort Inn - they found us 2 rooms together for our family of 5 and small dog - gave us good meal recommendations and just had a relaxing night after a busy day. Helps that the kids made friends at the pool!
