Lovely hotel in a great location and was within walking distance of great testaurants and shopping. The staff was so friendly and attentive. We had a room with two beds. It was one of the largest I 've ever stayed in. I would definitely stay here again.

Our two night stay at the Haywood Park Hotel was not nearly long enough! First off, the location could not be beat. The hotel is right in the heart of downtown Asheville and is walking distance from all of the shops and restaurants, yet once you are inside, it is so spacious and calm that you can truly forget you are in the middle of a bustling city and be completely relaxed. One of the reasons we chose the Haywood was so we could bring our 11 pound dog, Frodo, for a vacation as well. When we walked through the door, we were greeted by the lady at the front desk with a "that must be Frodo!". The Haywood is nestled between the Three Dog Bakery and the Chocolate Fetish, so at turndown, we were left truffles for ourselves and Frodo was given a treat from the bakery. Every time we took Frodo out, the staff made sure to say "hi" to him and pet him, which he loved, being the social butterfly that he is. My favorite part about the immaculate and comfortable room was the bathroom. It was so beautiful and luxurious, and the additional flat screen t.v. was a treat. We stayed on a Tuesday and Wednesday, and again I loved how quiet and serene the hotel was, we truly felt like we had a "getaway" vacation while still being walking distance to everything downtown. To summarize, anyone that stays at the Haywood is sure to be treated like royalty, but the best part for me was how my dog was treated like a rock star. We will definitely be back!

Wow, what a great place to stay! The bed, sheets and pillows are like sleeping on clouds, the suites are very big but cozy, with beautiful furniture. The bathroom has beautiful marble and spacious as well. And the location in town could not be better. Charming, great staff and impeccably clean.

from the friendly front desk clerk offering glasses of champagne on our arrival to the spacious rooms with great big bathrooms, we had a great experience. Not our first time and not our last. For downtown Asheville stays this is the place. Be sure to ask for rooms with a view. Can't beat the location.

The Haywood is a delightful boutique destination. The hotel is a remodeled turn of the century department store and plays on that concept in a charming way. The front desk service is wonderful - well trained and happy you are there. Even the valets are upbeat and extremely helpful.

The rooms are huge! Furnishings are average. Likewise, the bathrooms are huge; but the shower a bit small to make way for a separate tub.

Outside street musicians and folks gather - which is lovely during the day- but the Elvis guy who performed well into the night was not only off-key, but rather annoying when he started repeating like an 8-track. The. noise from the street was the only negative to the experience as it went on well past midnight. For some reason the Asheville police/fire really like to run their sirens - for just about any reason. But, request a room away from the street and your experience will be much improved
