From the outside this restraunt looks very unimpressive. Inside though you are greeted by great food at a good price. The food is well prepared and very tasty especially the fried dumplings are impeccable. Also if you are looking for an adventurous drink, try the Akou Bowl.

This place is good. Great rice, quick serve time, and a decent price( like 7 bucks for a lunch deal).

Unexpectedly from the outside great food on the inside.
Real chinese people cooking and serving. Choice of soup with wonton, spring roll and entree (big enough for 2) all for $6. We were very surprised. Excellent food and nice people. We had the Hot & Spicy Chicken , Empress Chicken , Lemon Chicken
ALL WERE GREAT.

As a Gunnison resident, The House of China is one of my regular lunch spots.

The service is consistently excellent and attentive.

The ambience is a mix of sterile and funky, the restraurant is in front of a bowling alley, but they have tried to decorate it with limited success.

The food is average to slightly above average, but it is the best Chinese food in town. Lunch ranges from $4.50 to $5.50 and is the best lunch deal in town.
