ORALE"
This little Hole in the wall sit on a small strip in Homestead downtown district. It is a great tourist eatery if you want to sample Mexican food. Very authentic and homemade. Very little cozy place too. But be warn, alcohol is not served, but its welcome if you bring it. And if you forget, you can go to the bar across the street and buy all you want and bring back to the restaurant . Hell, you can even bring in a cooler full of beer or wine. Owner doesn't mine.
Overall, food and staff was great"

My husband had dinner here recently. We both ordered the Tacos De Biste, three soft corn tortillas with freshly grilled steak, served with fresh cilantro and grilled onion. Our food was served "piping hot" and it was fresh and delicious. We also ordered a side dish of guacamole. It might have been the best we have ever eaten. After all, there are a lot of acres of avocados in Homestead. The chips and pico de gallo were also very high quality.

El Toro Taco is a great place to stop on your way to the Keys. Skip the corporate chains and eat real food.

We walked in and the place was empty (it was early for dinner) but there was a table piled with dirty dishes which did not give a good impression. The gal who was there was nice enough, friendly enough, but she was talking on her cell phone any time she wasn't dealing with us. Menus had bits of food on them. The floors were dirty. The edge of the table where we sat was sticky--made it easy to keep my elbows off the table! The chips were ok; the salsa was very watery. The food was ok but surprisingly bland. My beans tasted like they were straight out of a can and had no seasoning. They arrived blazingly hot--always a sign of microwaving to me. Rice was ok, again very bland. Enchiladas were ok. Sauce for the flan was very runny. It isn't the worst meal we ever had but was nothing to write home about. Prices were ok. We won't be going back.

This restaurant is right on 41. We were 3 ladies looking for a light lunch. Felt right at home in this family restaurant. Loved the chips and salsa. The original owner came to the table to greet us. Her children and grandchildren work there as well. The waitress was friendly but a little rushed. We ordered the Fiesta platter to share. We also tried the guacamole which was lovely. The food was fresh and plentiful. We would go back.

This place has really good authentic Mexican food. Make sure to try their queso dip! Their enchiladas are also very delicious.

This is a BYOB restaurant. So make sure to pick up you beer before coming in.

The staff are very friendly and the owner hector is always there.
